Wha'ts the brown stuff called a dr. puts on after a colposcopy? Not a biopsy?

Ok, I had a colposcopy done last week. And since I'm pregnant and my dr. didnt see anything concerning, I did not get a biopsy done. Well he put some kind of brown stuff on my cervix, he said it was some kind of iron stuff. Does anyone know what its called? Its NOT that yellow paste they use after a biopsy to stop the bleeding.

Why did America win WW2?

Please explain 'pH' to me as in the 'pH' of water.?

I get confused as to 'alkalinity' and'acidity'. Water in a green house should be 5.5-.6.5. If the 'pH' is too high, which means what, its too salty or acid? Does everything below the 5.5 mean its less acid or less salty? Then we have soluble salts.I'm so confused.Talk to me like I'm in 4th grade please.
