There is no standard pressure, it varies depending on how far downgradient you are from the water tower or pump station. Some homes have a pressure regulator installed to decrease the pressure.

remember, pressure is only part of the equation. you must consider volume also. 80 psi through a 1/4" pipe will shoot out like a rocket, 80 psi through a 1"pipe will be considerably less impressive.

Water pressure varies from one source to another. However it should be in the range of 40 to 75 PSI.
If you contact your water supplier they should be able to tell you the pressure of the system.

If you call your local water dept. They can tell you the pressure that goes into your house. It probably a little higher than that due to smaller pipes.

in most american water supplies, it is around 80 psi
