I'm doing research for a novel, and part of the novel has some voodoo in it. Since I'm a realist, I want real information and not that hollywood crap.

Can anyone direct me to some good research sites or email me to help me keep my information real.

people not having the right to make their own choices? What to eat, what not to eat, how to drive, how not to drive, how to smoke, where not to smoke, how to bring your kids up etc.... Can't they just fup off.

If someone doesn't want to wear a seat belt and fly through the window then that's choice. Don't you think?

I am applying for lots of teaching jobs and also an MA in Decadent Literature. My real passion lies in literature and I've found that teaching leaves very little scope for this. I am also applying for a scholarship to do the MA but it would mean that I'd be skint again and, if I didn't get offered a PhD, I'd also have to do the NQT year after my masters'.

I have to admit that teaching doesn't inspire me like I thought it would and I find the whole training and prospect of doing the NQT year rather patronising.

I really don't want to be stuck without any money and no career prospects though. What should I do?

There is going to be a show on Discovery with James Cameron called the Lost Tomb of Jesus and as I am reading various religious scholars arguments how this could not be true. Their argument? Lack of evidence. For people who absolutely believe that Jesus was a god, his body rose from the dead and up into the sky, who believe that he changed water into wine, he walked on water....with absolutely no evidence that any of this happened. They believe because they have "faith" but yet when someone uncovers the family tomb of Jesus, the best argument is that there is no way to prove it? Since when do Christians believe in proof anyways? Their whole faith is based on lack of proof, is it not?

I need to find some out door plants that last year round and are easy to maintain that only require partial sun. I live in a fairly warm climate very hot and humid in summer and rarely freezes in winter.
I would like a varity, some that bloom some that vine and some that are just green. short and tall large and small.

i'm 18 and engaged. Sure like any normal couple we've argued. we've made love. we've cried and laughed. We are young, lively and full of love that we share towards one another. We are both old fashioned. We believe the woman should cook and clean and take care of her husband and children. And that the man should take care of the finances and his dependants needs. All we have been recieving are negative thoughts. People don't think that they have to fight for a relationship sometimes. they expect to go into a relationship and it be a breeze. Everything just flows. How often does that happen in a marriage? if ever. Learning to make sacrifices, knowing how much to give and how much to take. And finally realizing that life is what you make of it. that is the key. in my opinion. I'm past the infatuation stage, it's past just being in love, i see flaws, but nothing i would change. It's learning to love someone for them and never expecting more.
