"Education is much more than a matter of imparting the
knowledge and skills by which narrow goals are achieved.
It is also about opening the child's eyes to the needs and
rights of others"
- Dalai Lama, Tibetan Spiritual Leader

1) What does the Dalai Lama mean by these words?

2) And if you want, you can tell me if you agree with this
quote or not, and why?

I don't think its possible but there are interesting aspects to it. Such as underground cities and passages extending for miles, secret bases, etc. and where nearly every religion tells of coming out of the ground in some way or another and rebuilding what was here (previous advanced civilizations). I think there may have been a war, nuclear, and they wiped themselves out. Then the survivors hid away, and resurfaced and tried to regain their lost technology but to no avail (such as Egypt, Mayan Empire, etc.). Think about it, if it happened today, years later, our ancestors would rise up and tell of how we had cars and stuff and it would just be taken as fantasy. Interesting to think about at least. Any cool links to visit regarding these as well as anything related to it?

A flask has the shape of a cylinder on top of a truncated cone. The bottom part of the flask is in the shape of a truncated cone with the bottom radius 10 cm, top radius 5 cm, and height 10 cm. Sitting on top of the truncated cone is a tall cylinder whose radius is 5 cm. Liquid is being poured into the flask at a rate of 2 cm^3/s. Note that the volume of a cone whose bottom radius is r and whose vertical height is h is given by V=(1/3)*pi*r^2*h.

Hints:
a) The bottom partial cone has nothing to do with the rate other than that it is already filled.
c) Think of the bottom cone as a full cone with the top taken off. So the volume of the cone: V=(1/3)*pi*r^2*h - (1/3)*PI*[(10 - .5h)^2] * (20 - h)

Questions:

a) When the liquid is 15 cm high in the flask, how fast is the height of the liquid increasing?
b) If the flask is initially empty, how long does it take the liquid to reach a height of 10cm?
c) How fast is the height of the liquid rising when the liquid is 5cm deep?

O.K this is what happned, a few days ago my cat who is 10 years old got bitten in the lower back by a dog. I didn't see her until late that night. We took her to the vet, and she got operated on, and had the fluid that was in her drained out, now today, she has a bare back and tubes sticking out of her hips to drain excess fluid. We got her a litter box, deciding we don't want her to go outside that often, and defintley not for the next week. She used to have a litter box when she was younger, but i don't know if she knows how to use it or what it is. How can i show her? Please Help?
