I was recently at a Catholic wedding mass. When it was time for communion I saw a couple who I know for sure is protestant get up and receive the sacrament of communion at the catholic mass. The priest had no way of knowing this. Have things changed in the Catholic church or was this couple wrong to do this? I thought one had to be a Catholic in good standing and I thought most people knew this. Also, after the mass, I saw the woman take her children and walk all over the altar, like it was a tourist attraction, walking way back where the priest stands and where the sacraments are kept. Was I wrong to see this as disrepectful? I am not Catholic but, I would not do this.

She used to be kenneled at a doggie daycare before we adopted her where she's always around dogs. She seemed to get along with them. She was the most even-tempered dog ever. The problem started when we took her home. Now, whenever she encounters other dogs, she growls like crazy. I think she was a puppy mill mom - I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I'm a little worried because she may one day bite another doggie.

I have a dog that I have had since she was 8 weeks old. I never beat her. She's an indoor dog so when she does something bad I put her outside for a few minutes to think about it. I've swatted her a few times for major stuff like chewing on the wall but I don't beat her. Yet she acts like a dog that's been horribly abused. She's very skiddish when you go up to her to pick her up and when you tell her to come to you even in a sweet way she acts very scared. What would make her behave this way?

The third question in a problem I'm given asks if and when the object returns to its starting position. What would the starting position on a graph be? If the domain is [0, infinity), the starting position is (0,9). Is there none, considering the equation is x(t)=t + 9/(t+1)? Or would it be when x(t)=9 again, which in this case, would be t=8?
