Our lease expired 9/31. We payed rent for Oct. just like any other month. We found a house to rent for Nov. 1, our landlord said we will not get security deposit back because of short notice. We had never discussed a lease extention with them. Do they have the right to keep our money?

question about guys and weddings. I never said it was going to be me or not. I don't see it being selfish. ok well maybe if the guy couldn't bring his side of the family and his friends. However, most men that I talk too could care less what the girl wanted to do for the wedding. You would save a buck or two. Weddings tend to be too superficial anyways. Do guys really like going to receptions and do they really need them? Do men really care about going on a honey moon and do they really care what the heck their fiance is wearing on their wedding day, and where they get married? I mean come now didn't they say the wedding day is the girls day anyway. What exactly do men want to do on the wedding day or what could they not live without. you cann't say sex. In fact a lot of people don't have sex on their wedding day. I would think most guys would rather settle for the cheaper option and not all of the elaboratness that goes into a wedding.

A guy goes in to a restauraunt and orders Octopus.

The waiter tells him they have live Octupi in a tank, and asks if he would like to choose his own meal? The man accepts and walks up to the tank.

Although there are many fine, healthy specemins, the man's eye is draw to this tiny, grass coloured Octopus with a moustache. He decides he wants this one for his meal. The waiter nods and calls for the head chef.

"Yofais!" ,he called out (for 'twas the chef's name). Yofais comes out of the kitchen, celaver in hand, and picks up the little Octopus and drags him back in to the kitchen.

However, when he gets there the little Octopus looks up at him with this big, sad doe eyes and Yofais can't bring himself to kill the little critter, so he decides to call on the guy who washes the dishes.

"Hans!" he cries (for 'twas his name) "Come over here and kill this Octopus". Hans comes over, raises the knife, but again, the Octopus looks at him with those big, sad doe eyes, and Hans...

I have a 3 year old betta (Bruiser) that has a growing tumor or something on the tip of his nose. I have another betta (Hogan) in another bowl and I've been noticing that Bruiser's bowl get dirty after just 1 or 2 days, where Hogan's doesn't start to look the least bit dirty until about 4 days. Bruiser doesn't swim much, he just kind of lays on the side of the bowl. He's eating but he seems to have a difficult time swimming up to the top to get his food, so he waits until it falls to the floor of the bowl.
Is there any treatment for his condition (the tumor)?

Okay, so I have always heard of her die hard fans etc., but last night, I really got into listening to her music and I realize what an amazing talent she is. You always hear about how she is diffiicult to work with or is demanding or whatever, but I believe she is worth every penny she has ever earned in her life. Her voice and songs are AMAZING! I was crying listening to "Send in the Clowns" like a baby. Her songs are absolutely beautiful! I never could understand the Babs craze, but now I surely do! I am a huge fan now for sure! Anyone else feel the same way I do? Do tell!!

I'm a student looking for part time work, I have a really busy schedule this year, but I really need a part time job. I've just been told I have a job with a call centre part time hours, working til 9pm most nights, but training for this would be 5-9 every night of the week, and 9 - 4.30 on a saturday, I probably could cope with this for a while, but I've applied for another job as a santa's helper, which I would absolutely love?

How would I go about saying no to a job I said I would take, but it doesn't start until december, and I haven't signed anything yet?

We all pay the same level of taxes and contributions throughout the UK so shouldn't we all get the same benefits and opportunities in return? Already Scottish students don't have to pay top-up fees at university, and Scottish pensioners get free care. Is this grounds for discrimination on the basis of 'nationality' or is this just part of the political jerimandering going on right now - which includes the Labour Government closing down more hospitals in Tory Constituencies of the country than in Labour Constituencies.
