I'm a student looking for part time work, I have a really busy schedule this year, but I really need a part time job. I've just been told I have a job with a call centre part time hours, working til 9pm most nights, but training for this would be 5-9 every night of the week, and 9 - 4.30 on a saturday, I probably could cope with this for a while, but I've applied for another job as a santa's helper, which I would absolutely love?

How would I go about saying no to a job I said I would take, but it doesn't start until december, and I haven't signed anything yet?

Be up front with them and say you found a better opportunity. Something more closely aligned with the career you are trying to embark upon. I'm sure you feel bad, but in the scheme of things, they'll get over it, and so will you.

Have you considered the Party Plan Business.

I am a Pampered Chef consultant. I have 2 kids, and I work 1 evening a week, and earn about £65 for about 5-6 hours work.

Are you interested? E-mail me.

Well here is a free way to make money without fronting the cost of signing up and placing your credit card. You wont make a lot of money with this site but you get paid to participate online discussions. Just make sure you have a pay pal account so you can get paid once you get the dollar mark.

Call the manager at the job where you accepted and say,

"I want to thank you so much for the opportunity to work for you but I have decided to go in another direction so I need to decline your kind offer of employment.
I apologize for the inconvenience and I hope you understand. Again, thank you so much for everything."

Just write them a letter stating you thank them for the offer of the job but after careful consideration the job is not for you.

You should just be frank and tell them you have a better opportunity or have family commitments to make, therefore in the process had to give up the opportunity offered.

Just tell them that you are grateful for the offer, but that something has come up. You have no need to explain yourself.
