I'm a little unclear on the whole Yankee Doodle, feather, hat, & "macaroni" thing.
The popular American song from the 18th century says,

Yankee Doodle came to town
Riding on a pony;
He stuck a feather in his hat
And called it macaroni.
Yankee Doodle, keep it up,
Yankee Doodle dandy;
Mind the music and the step,
And with the girls be handy.

So what did he call "macaroni"?
Was it the hat, the feather, or his horse?
And, more importantly, WHY did he call it "macaroni"?

I've lost a lot of sleep over this one for over 50 years.
It is truly one of the mysteries of the universe.
Why would he call his hat "macaroni"?

I started a new job as a Medical Assitant this monday well here it goes. I didnt have access to anything!!! This place had a system that had the patient scheduling, insurance verification, and also the Dr.s names such as location etc..... Well whenever i had to answer a call and a patient wanted to make an appointment I couldnt help them because I didnt have access and I didnt know which times were available when they would call and ask if a specific Dr accepted X insurance I had no clue because I could get into the system at all!!! This job sucked so much that I was only there for 2 1/2 days!!! Now my question is should I feel bad about leaving this job or was it their fault for not providing me with the correct tools to do my job right?? Oh by the way to kill it I had to wait about 3 months to have access to the system to start scheduling!!! Thats insane!! I left after i was placed at clinic and all the girls were complaing of me being useless I tried speking to my boss she knew nada

i have light brown hair. it is about an inch or 2 past my shoulders.my hair is longer in the front than it is in the back. (really cute) Anyway, I'm looking for some really cute hair ideas. The only thing i do with my hair is leave it down, put it up , or put it half way up. I'm really bored with that. I ordered a cd from amazon.com waited a whole week to to get it was excited when it came tore open the package oped the case [by the way it was a used cd] and NO CD WHAT THE FU#@ i emailed the seller the day i rec the package and they emailed me back saying that they would refund shipping. i think they should refund fully NOBODY EVER PAYS FOR A CD CASE what do you think???

Yes ,, My ex husband was career Military , he was in the Navy like 22 years,, we were married for thirteen years,,And he would go off say to another Militarty installme4nt,, and never send any money for support for me or our three children,,So spent many, many years with him when he was a total jerk,, finallly got smart and divorced him,, Children are grown now,,,, but met a retired airforce man,, and he asked if I ever remarried,,, and I told him no,,, He told me I was entitled to draw 50 % of ex's Military retirement,, as long as I never remarried ,,, Is this true??? He is remarried but him and current wife never had children together,,, thank you very much for any help in answering this for me,,, it is deeply appreciated..
