good thing you left. sounds like nobody knew what they were doing or how to run that place. send a letter (but be polite) to the highest up manager/supervisor that you know of there explaining the situation.

Ok, I am not going to be the most popular one here but yes you should feel guilty.
Because of these reasons:
1.) You had an interview right? So you had time to ask questions and look around right? You should have asked how efficent the office is at taking calls and what tools/programs they use
2.) Do you know how long it takes to hire someone this day and age? Months! Months of time and money (Monster alone is $389 an ad, Careerbuilder is $365, not including all the HR administrative costs) that you wasted because you feel like they didn't serve you justice.
3.) You should have said something. I mean really, if you can't do your job right see how the others were getting by and ask.
4.) You gave something less than a week to impress you. Wow, that's shaddy. That is the absolute WORST professionalism I have heard about in a while.
5.) You quit a job in less than 3 days, I don't know how well you did in school, but there is a big difference between school and work. If you have been out of school and in a different job before then this point is moot.
6.) Now, by not having "access to anything" does that mean that you didn't have a computer, or that your account couldn't do anything? If it's your account the tech guy/gal (s) might not have had time to drop everything they were doing and fix your account. Which, goes back to point #3.
7.) Because you went to speak to your boss, and she knew "nada" that doesn't mean you spoke to the right boss. If I were to go ask my boss right now which language should I use C++ or XML he wouldn't have a clue. You should have spoke to her boss, and gone up the ladder to try and get an answer.
Now, this is not meant to make you upset, and I already know that I am not giving the most popular answer here. However, I am being realistic and coming from a employee and employer who has played the game and been played.

Well i think you shouldnt feel guilty at all cuz it aint your fault its their fault for not providing you with the correct tools to do your job. Just forget that you ever had a job there and open a new page. I may be young enough to answer your question, but I hope I did help somehow!!!

I think that you gave up too soon
I mean you didn't even really give the job a try, i mean you gave the job two and a half days
And if you would have stayed you might have liked the job
Like i understand that you absolutly hated the job but it almost seems like having a job isn't your number one piority if you gave up so easily.
You should see if you can get a second try at the job.

No, you should not feel guilty, they didn't give you any of the tools you need to be effective. What did they expect you to do there, if you have no way to do well anything.
I hope you find a job that you can thrive in because that was definatly not the place for you.

well its not totally Ur fault and u shouldn't feel bad. But for an organization that big, there's supposed to be something like a training section, where they train people like u. This aids u and others to understand the system and improves Ur working skills. hence improving ur first day at work .

You shouldn't feel guilty at all. You spend a third of your life at work and you should enjoy it. Find a place where you will be happy. Keep in mind that every yard has a little dog **** in it. Some just less than others. Move on my friend and good luck in your search.

you shouldn't feel guilty. they gave you a job, told you what to do and then did not give you the means to do it. you went to the boss but the boss was no help, so you did the right thing. just think. can you do your job when they don't give you what you need to do you job with!
