it depends why you break up...it didn't work out for me he was still a jerk! I would say you have a better chance of getting back together is there are children involved

I used to experience this a while ago, me and my boyfriend would break up about once a month but we would be back together by the end of the day. Most of the time especially when you are young and immature people always break up for silly reasons. But when you mature and get older you realize that everyone will disagree about one thing or another at one point in time but it does not necessarily mean that you should keep breaking up over silly arguments. But me and my boyfriend are going three and a half years strong and have matured to the point where we give each other space instead of just breaking up which is pointless.

I have been whipsawed so bad by girlfriends when I was younger I cringe bigtime when I think about it. Now that I'm a little (lot) older, it's "once it's over, it's over". Don't go back. Don't even look back. So I'm now impervious to head games. And I try not to get involved with losers in the first place. Too many nice girls around.

been there, done that.. twice.... if you really love each other, the breakup will make you realize how much you want the person, cant live without that person and all that mushy stuff... i have been married 4 yrs now with the same guy... and we dated 2 yrs before we got married and broke up TWICE ... for about 2 weeks each time... but he always came around... and i always took him back...

To me the break - up get back together is only prolonging the inevitable. It's not going to last there are issues that need to be dealt with. There is a reason you broke up, wouldn't getting back together rekindle those arguments?

I won't go back to the same one more than once. If we broke up the first time it was for a good reason. I don't need to be reminded of why more than once.

I did this with 2 different guys adnd ended up breaking up with them both for the same original reason. I have since adopted a policy that when I am done with you the FIRST time...I am done with you for LIFE.
