I have a friend who I have know for about two years. Within the past couple of months things have gotten very strange. I have caught her in a lie a couple of times and there are just some things that cannot be explained. My husband and my mother both think that I need to cut the friendship off with her because they are convinced that she is doing very heavy drugs. We have both smoked weed together( that is the only thing that I have ever done) I know that she has done coke, but she said that she has stopped. I am not smoking anymore. My mother says that all the signs point to heroin. Her husband has done some very heavy drugs and I think that he still is. She is a good person and I care for her. But, I just don't know what to do, I am already in too deep, but I don't want to get in any deeper if she is doing heavy drugs like coke and shooting up. She has kids and often leaves her kids her with me. She did last night and told me this erroneous story about why she had to. An

We have well water. I have used it, city water and even bottled water. No matter what I use the water turns gator-aid green. What is happening?!? The fish are still alive but I'm afraid they are stressing. This is my second home aquarium. The water was so bad in my first quarium I threw everything away but the fish and started over. I have a 20 gal at the office and use city water. I have no problems with that one. Someone said the green might be algae and maybe I should put some plants in the tank. I do have an algae eater. Did I need another one? Thanks for any advice you can give. I have algae tablets but instructions don't say how often to drop a tablet in the aquarium. I put one in yesterday but did little good. Gosh, I thought this would be easy since the one at work it doing so well. Where did I go wrong?!?
Oh yeah, would a heater help? Thanks for any advice you can lend.

I asked her, "Is this going to charge me twice?" She replied "No." Well later when I went to look at my statement online, I noticed she did charge me twice. Grrr....What do I do? i've been hanging out with a different group of guys lately. One of them asked me out, and i didn't respond, but at the time i was talking to my ex. I asked him what i should do, and he said say your heart belongs to me. I knew he was kidding... but i said maybe if i went out with you for a week, it would make it better. I toled the other guy who asked me out that he(my ex) asked me out last night. But the brusque way in which you handled the whole thing is your fault in all entirity. I mean how hard is it to say no. Althought you intentions were clear from the very outset. Why do people recommend that a teen girl needs to see a gynecologist. I mean if they are still a virgin can't they just wait until 18 or 21..i mean it really isn't necessary is it. I mean i'm 16 and have never seen one and really dont plan on it..only because i dont want someone looking or touching something that i have always kept private...i dont even let my pediatrician look. And besides i dont know all of what they do because for a virgin they dont have to have the exam right? If you feel fine and nothing seems to be wrong cant you hold off on it for a while, also im not a big fan of pain. Can you call CPS? I really like the little boy but it seems like his mom is always asking me to babysit or someone else. She leaves the child with just about anybody. I knew her two weeks before she asked me to babysit. I've known her two years and I still would never ask her to take my children. They're mine. My husband and I are the only ones that watch them. I know she loves her child, but isn't that wrong? I would understand if she needed to work but going away for the weekend with a man is not a good enough reason for me. She makes time for her boyfriend but not her children.

I guess I will talk to her first before I do something drastic like calling CPS.
What would you do???

Just checking... based on the questions here, I as an atheist ought (I surmise) to get incredibly angry or at least offended when I use, or hear used, any of these terms:

- B.C. or A.D. in referring to the date
- Paradise in reference to a good place
- 'Bless you' when someone sneezes
- Christmas in reference to 25 Dec.
- Reference to the city of Allahabad, the country of El Salvador or people with the name Christina (okay, I've never heard these but it logically follows from what comes before).

Yet I somehow manage to survive this theistic onslaught without chewing the furniture. You see, they happen to be English words and English happens to be the language I speak.

So my question is: am I strange for not going postal when I hear these words, or has somebody created an 'atheist English' and just not told me about it?
