Can you call CPS? I really like the little boy but it seems like his mom is always asking me to babysit or someone else. She leaves the child with just about anybody. I knew her two weeks before she asked me to babysit. I've known her two years and I still would never ask her to take my children. They're mine. My husband and I are the only ones that watch them. I know she loves her child, but isn't that wrong? I would understand if she needed to work but going away for the weekend with a man is not a good enough reason for me. She makes time for her boyfriend but not her children.
I guess I will talk to her first before I do something drastic like calling CPS.
What would you do???

is she a good mom..are the kids taken care of..is the only problem that she goes away on the weekend and leaves the kids with a sitter...even though i dont agree with that..i dont think that is something to call CPS over...now if she is a bad mom period then yes.....simply tell her that you are not going to sit anymore so that she can party....tell her that you have your own family to take care of..now if you are worried that she will leave the child with someone that wont really take care of him..tell her all you concerns..i agree with you..i dont leave me children with anyone..i am a mother of two and a wife..playing time is over...she doesnt feel this way i guess...maybe she just needs to be told what she is doing is not right...gosh i feel sorry for the little boy...good luck!

The only time that you can call CPS is if you notice that the child is being abused or neglected. Tell your friend no and keep your foot down on your answere. Don't let her take advantage of you. She needs to keep in mind that you have a family of your own and you shouldn't be taking responsibilty for her child. She needs to learn on how to be a good parent and take care of her son. I feel sorry for the little guy because his mom doesn't care about him and all she does is hang out with other guys. She also needs to learn how to keep her priorities straight. The next time she asks you to baby sit, tell her no.

Theres nothing wrong with needing a break. I dont thinkits a smart idea to leave our kids with someone Ive known for two weeks,however. CPS cant do anything unless theyre being abused or neglected. She is asking you and nor just leavingthem home alone to fend for themselves. Its only on the weekend? I wouldnt say she's a winner of a mom,particularly if she works all week and then still feels she needs a break. In fact she should want to be with her kids she never sees.

I know from my job that CPS will not do anything as long as the child is not being harmed. Your friend neglects her child but if you are able, continue caring for him because that is probably the most attention the poor child gets.

Call CPs if she leaves the baby unattended or with someone who is too young or under the influence of something.
Don't let her take advantage of you, stop saying yes and suggest that she do something with her baby instead. Live your life, have fun and make good choices.

Calling CPS seems a bit extreme ... she is asking you to babysit ... you have given no signs of neglect.
Wrong for her to go out every weekend, probably. but not illegal.

Look in my point of view call who ever you need. That woman or girl doesn't love her child if she did she would be there everyday sitting her own child I'm sorry if she makes more time for guys why did she have a baby that's not right.tell her or just call who ever you need to call.but do what's right for the kid.

i think if you like watch in the boy and just wont her to spend more time with him then tell her you enjoy doing it for her but you can only do it once or twice a mo. maybe then instead of trying to get a new babysitter then she will stay home that Manny times more .good luck

I would say to her if she wants to be a real mum you should stay with your child she could get the man to come to her house. Also say your busy so she has no one to hand her child to.

I think you need to back away from this friendship. The woman is using you and your sympathy for the child is a weight on you.
You need to be doing what is good for you and your family.
