We just bought an older house (65 years) and we discovered in the basement that the metal pipe that drains water from the house has a very small, thin crack that is about 1 ft. long. When the water is turned on in the house, it leaks a little bit of water. We only noticed it because the concrete at the base of the pipe was slightly wet. We are looking to see if anyone can tell us how to fix it so we can take care of it ourselves. Thanks.

Find the equations of the tangents to the curve y=x^3-6x^2+12x+2 which are parallel to the line y=3x.

I've tried differentiating and tried to make it equal to the gradient of the y=3x line, but I'm doing something very wrong. i just cant get the method of doing this question right. Could someone please show step by step how to solve this question, it has me stumped, and the examples given in my book don't help either. The answer at the back says :
y=3x+2
y=3x+6

I haven't changed the windshield wipers for 3 years and they are leaving lots of streaks. However when I go to Autozone and Target, they only sell the whole windshield wiper. Should I be changing both wipers since it's been so long a time, or should I keep looking for the refills?

I want to invest in my future and the future of my 3 children.( college)
I also want to secure my finances for when I choose to retire in about40 yrs. I want to live comfortably! My job does offers a plan but its a basic.

My family doctor has diagnosed me with depression and generalized anxiety disorder. I am taking Lexapro, and would like someone who understands my religious faith as well.
I live in Tucson, AZ and have not found a good therapist yet. It is very difficult to keep looking without being discouraged.

For instance, if one euro is about .80 USD. Or Uk pound has more value than USD. What is the reason that makes euro or pound higher than USD. If we say, that exchange rates and the value of a currency depends on the economic power, I hope USA has more economic power than UK or may be EU countries.

I recently purchased a supposedly stainless steel braclet on eBay but when I checked to see if it was attracted to a magnet, it wasn't. I used the magnet to verify it was truly stainless steel.
