Taurus MSRP roughly $520 and Springfield roughly $595

Taurus has their famous lock system and Springfield has a cable lock.

Taurus has a poly receiver w/rail and Springfield has a lighter frame that is ergonomically designed.

Springfield also has the ambidextrous mag release and chamber load indicator. PLus you can get the Gear System which includes the holster etc...

I personally would be more likely pick the XD based on the extra features it offers.

In the end it is up to you! Which one feels best in your hand? That's what you need to ask yourself if you truely can't decide between the two.

from my opinion, go with the XD 45. i mean, it's a seriously sweet pistol.
