Good Q. For explanations of evolution, people should look in the science section.
Very good point. Evolutionist can believe in evolution because they trust the scientific process; but still know very little about the scientific details of evolution.

What proof and what evidence.
Darwin. Charles Darwin, said Mother Nature selected things to thrive and survive.
Isn't that a female god?
He did not say, survival of the Fittest, that was the other guy. Science voted that into the theory, you know, like Voting to make Pluto Not a Planet.
So, Darwin says everything is because of NATURAL SELECTION.
Relgious people say GOD DECIDED IT ALL.
By the way, were you aware that the Catholic Religion (you know Mr. Pope) and the Jewish Theologians all approve of and endorse Charles Darwin's theory and say nothing in it conflicts with the Bible.
I repeat! They FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE THEORY.
They gave Charles Darwin the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
What do you think of that, Jimbo!

Grow up, meathead, what are you 2. And I mean that respectfully, of course.
Just because we don't believe evolution, doesn't mean we don't love you as a fellow human. We have proof of God. He reveals His truth in us. That is the point, it takes faith first. God isn't going to just reveal Himself to everyone. What would be the point of having faith and believing in Him, if we can know the truth without any action on our part. If that was the case then everyone would believe, because they had seen His truth first, not because they had faith first.
You are free to believe what you want, that is your choice. BTW I don't think you hate God, I think you're searching for answers as all of us are. I have searched my entire life for the answers to life's most "important questions." I've studied all forms of science and religions from here to kingdom come and I came up wanting, until I finally stopped running from and started seeking God. That is where the truth and answers are....with God. My family and friends past and present will probably tell you I'm one of the most level-headed, logical, and rational person they know or knew. I most certainly am not "brainwashed," as you put it. I don't know why I went through all that. I just don't like the idea that people assume that most Christians are brainwashed, low-IQ-ed, myth-believing, irrational, illogical, dimwits. We most definitely are not. Not that I can't take the criticism. It's just that it is the biggest myth of all.

You got a excellent point there I must agree with you. There is no proof that their god exist and haves the powers the believe he haves so why would they expect others to prove things to them? Oh I think that's cause their bible don't tell them what to do about that so they feel the need to question it. When they ask you that tell them they should pray to their god for the answers like they do for everything else.

Evolutionist Richard Lewontin in The New York Review, January, 1997, page 31:
We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of the failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so-stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.

Religious people don't believe in evolution, religious people believe in creation. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God CREATED.... So we don't expect anybody to explain something we don't believe in.

You need to re-think your views about evolution. Your body has enough information to fill books (the size of encyclopedia books)
stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. DNA is a language. It has letters. The letters combine to form words. The words combine to form sentences and when they are all put together they form meaningful information that the body uses. A man and a woman have sex. The sperm combines with the egg. You now have your 1st cell. That cell divides and you have 2 cells. It divides again and then you have 4...and then 8...and then 16,32,64, 128, 256 and eventually you have a small embryo consisting of millions of cells. At that point those cells are undifferentiated. But they are not going to stay undifferentiated. Some are going to become brain cells, some skin cells, some kidney cells, some heart cells and on and on. How does each cell know what to become? It knows because inside of every cell there is an instruction booklet called the DNA which not only tells it what to become but how to become it.
Suppose, when we landed on the moon in 1969, the astronauts found a moon buggy just sitting there. Most people would say that there must be other life out in the universe. How else would that moon buggy get there? Some hard core evolutionists might say "well, if you break down the moon buggy to its basic elements, its basically just matter and molecules in motion just like the moon rocks........if the moon rocks could evolve why couldn't the moon buggy"? Not too many people would agree with that assesment. But let's just suppose that underneath the seat they found an instruction booklet. There might be one nutty evolutionists who might say, "well, again, the instruction booklet is just like the moon rocks if we get down to the basics....just matter and molecules in motion.....If the moon rocks could evolve, the instruction booklet could evolve? Very, very few people would agree with that assesment. But even if you could bring yourself to believe that the paper and ink are just matter and molecules in motion and could evolve what
about the way the ink is formed into symbols(namely letters) that spell out words that have meaning that told you how to change the tires and batteries and how to change your oil and so on and so on. You'd have to be a nutbag to believe that those symbols came about just by random chance evolution. Those symbols are not matter and molecules in motion. They're information. Information does not come about by random chance. Your body is a zillion times more complex than any moon buggy and has a zillion times more info. It's instruction booklet is a zillion times more compacted with info than any instruction booklet for any moonbuggy or car or aircraft carrier. This isn't a put-down. I'm not trying to say you're not very smart. You're probably very intelligent though I don't know you personally. But you've been brainwashed to believe this nonsense since you were knee-high to a grasshopper and you've been taught not to think it through to it's logical conclusions in our public schools. Life doesn't come from dead chemicals.
You say "using the standard of religion, our book says so, shouldn't that be good enough"? The difference is that we, as christians give a reason why our book is true.
The Bible has the signature of God attached to it in many ways. One of those ways is Bible prophecy. The old testament has 333 prophecies about the first coming of Jesus Christ and 456 specific details about his life(all written between 400 and 200 years before he was born). The 4 gospels in the new testament(Mathew, Mark, Luke & John) tell the story of jesus. Had those 4 gospel writers chosen to not write their gospels, we could still have re-created the whole life of Christ just from the old testament(all written before he was born). In fact, that is how the christians preached the gospel in the first 20-30 years arter the death of christ. They preached it from the old testament because the new testament had not yet been written. Man sees history like a person sees the Rose Parade sitting in the stands. The floats that have already gone by him are like the past. The floats in front of him are like the present. The floats still coming are like the future. These prophets in the old testament who wrote about Jesus Christ seemed to be able to see history the way you would see the Rose Parade from a helicopter. They seemed to be able to see the end from the beginning. That tells me that though they were writing these things down the info was not ultimately coming from them but from a higher source because man simply doesn't see history that way. Also, the bible has amazing knowledge about many scientific principals long before these principals were discovered. Seventeen times in the old testament the bible says that God is "stretching the heavens". For thousands of years bible scholar struggles with what that could possibly mean. Then in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding. The bible told us that long ago.
No other religion or Holy Book has this king of knowledge. All this tells me that these prophets in both the old and new testament were not nutcases but true prophets of God. These people who today say that God spoke to them only give us one way to know whether they've truly heard from God, namely, THEY SAY SO.
I certainly have no way to know. For all I know they may have had too much pizza the night before.
Like I said, we give evidence why our book is true. You give no evidence why your book is true. In fact, I just showed you why the evidence is against your book.
You say, "if proof and evidence mattered, you wouldn't believe in god". That's just not true. Reasonable proof and evidence is important to me concerning the bible. But if proof and evidence mattered, you wouldn't believe in evolution since there is no proof for evolution. I'm not saying there is more proof for creation than there is for evolution. I'm saying there is no proof for evolution at all........none, nada ,zero, zippo, zilch. If you have some I'd like to see it. You believe it because you have been brainwashed and indoctrinated in our atheistic, secular humanists public schools since you were knee-high to a grasshopper and you've never really critically thought it through. I'm certainly not saying you are a God hater. I'm just saying that you have to be insane to think that something as complex as life just came from dead chemicals by random chance. I read an article just the other day where IBM said that they think they will be able to make a computer that will duplicate the human brain by about the year 2030. The amount of information we have is doubling about every 1 1/2 years. By the year 2030 it will have multiplied about 1000 times over what we have today That's how much info we'll need to duplicate the human brain. But when that happens, that will not prove random chance evolution, that will prove intelligent design. You're saying it all came about by random chance, spontaneous generation evolution and by natural selection and mutations we eventually got this brain just by chance. That's insane. You have a better chance that by putting a monkey at a typewriter and letting him just pluck away, random chance, that he could type out the encyclopedia brittanica just by random chance given enough time. It ain't going to happen. You're also implying that christians are a bunch of flat earth, moronic scientific IQ thinkers. Let me give you a list of all the people who started all the scientific disciplines we know today. These were the founders of science. Everyone of these guys was a creationists. I challenge you to show me one that wasn't. Also, everyone was a christian, with the exception of Leonardo Da Vinci. He, also was a creationists. I know he was a theists too. Whether he was a christian or not....maybe,maybe not....I just don't know. Newton, one of the two founders of calculus(the other being Blaise Pascal, who was also a committed christian) and also the founder of physics wrote about 10 times as much about the bible as he ever did about math or science.
