As Christians, we are all called to witness about our faith and talk openly about Jesus. Now don't get me wrong, that's a good thing to do. But my problem is with certain people who do it.
Like I know a LOT of people who call themselves Christians. But they come in to work or school or whatever, and they don't act like it. They're rude, they're snobby, they cuss at people, they act worse than the worldly people.
And then two seconds later they're all talking about God and saying you need to go to church.
My feeling is, people like this should not be encouraged to witness because they're doing more harm than good.
I understand we all make mistakes. I'm not saying only "perfect" people should witness, cause then no one would.
But shouldn't the church at least try to hold up a standard?

and threatened people with death. Yet when the Pope makes a speech which offend some Muslims (mainly those who haven't read the speech) why is it o.k. for muslims to burn effegies of the pope? Isn't that far more disrespectful than the cartoons.

I tend to counter-argue a lot of my teachers political arguments, and when he discovered these were for the sake of argument (I claimed I learn more from discussions such as these) he said something about the devil's advocate.

1968 is a long time ago - so how come, with all the massive computer advances since then, have we not done anything as remotely exciting as putting a man on the moon, since?

Also - had we moved with the same progression, should we have put a man on Mars by now?

Have you ever just thought...I'm a human being. I live on this world. It almost seems like we're characters in a book and there's a moral to it, so that the next world will learn from our mistakes, unfortunately though history has a habit of repeating itself. It's hard to explain.. but think about yourself then just think you're on this world, it almost seems animated. It sometimes dosen't feel right, like i'm in a permanent dream till it ends and i die. It's hard to put into words, have you felt that or know what i mean? Or try giving any explanation of why you think we're on this world. (Dosen't have to be logical, it can just be from the heart without all these scientific explanations and evolution..blah..blah.)

I mean, people will always need toilet paper, right? Unless they just stop needing to crap. But...that would be sick and they'd explode...unless they had something to totally break down food and materials that they eat...But that might eat through their body too....Soooo...Well I just went WAY off topic...so would it be smart to invest in Charmin Toilet Paper Company...?

My husband says he won't leave b/c I "won't let him". I would not have let him lead this bachlor life he has been living the last 5 months either if he had asked but it didn't stop him. So how in the heck am I stopping him from leaving now?
He stays here at our house about 3 nights a week and hardly ever on the weekends but he has yet to completely move out or go file any paper work for the divorce he says he wants.
I have told him this is his decision and I won't fight him on it but he has to be the one to do it. He tells me he loves me still but he just got married to young and needs to "sow his wild oats" and of course he can't do that and be married because he "still has a conscience" and can't be around me knowing what he is doing o me.
Just super confused here, how is me waiting on him to do what he says he is going to, not letting him go?
Oh also our house burnt down in March and I am kinda waiting on him to get the new one built so me and my girls will have somewhere to go.

I met this guy online over a year and a half ago, he came down to visit me and we have been dating ever since. It WAS not an online romance, he was here almost every month to see me. I tried waiting for him to finish school like he wanted but it was too hard for me and we went through alot. I tried breaking up with him and seeing other guys but I wanted to be with him and he seemed like he wanted me too. After the last breakup I got back together with him cause he was about to finish school and we had always planned on him moving here afterwards. But when the time came he wouldnt do it, he wanted me to transfer from my college and quit my job to move to west virginia with thim. Right after I decided to give up everything to be with him he broke up with me. Where do I go from here??? he was my first boyfriend and all Ive known for a whole year, I feel like a year of my life was wasted and that I was lied to.
