"Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
(Psalm 46:10)
I think it means that sometime during our busy day we should stop and think about God on purpose. I do not think we have to spend hours meditating or anything, but we do have to spend some time just recognising God and working on a relationship with him. I know that if one of my friends ignored me all day even though I was with them all the time I wouldn't appreciate it very much, and I don't think God does either.
By the way, www.biblegateway.com is a really good place to look up Bible verses and stuff.

I live in a nice apartment complex, it has a large lake in the center, which attracts lots of interesting water birds. One lovely day, I was crossing a bridge. In the distance, I could see a beautiful white heron standing on the bank of the lake, they fish in the lake because there are little silver fishes in it! Anyway, I paused for a moment to look at the scene. There was a blue sky with white clouds. The sun was shining through the green leaves of the trees, the fountains in the lake were making a peaceful sound, and all of a sudden the holy spirit brought that verse into my mind, "be still, and know that I am God". I felt peace, love, eternal promise, confidence, beauty, joy. So that is what that verse meant to me, in that perfect moment.

As I recall, God said "be still and know that I am God." In other wards, stop looking for something outside of yourself to fix you. Whether its a creed, a ritual, a church, your possessions, your money, loved ones, all of these are crutches and structures that will not last. Look to uncover your own best and truest self, extraneous of materialism and clinging to possessions. In time the truth will set you free; hoarding anyone or anything is pointless. The one "God", in my opinion, consists of all of us and of the universe. It encompasses the vast, eternal stillness of space.To me, God is unknowable. While God is present in the rain, the winds, the human voice,bird and animal calls, God's silence overrides us all. We all came from that vast stillness and will return some day.

Psalms 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
It means what it says. The God of Israel is God and there is no other god but Him.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
In the context, it appears that God would prove, in His own time, that He is supreme.

Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
I know it means to get out of the way and let GOD do what he wants to do in your life.
GOD bless ya.

Psalm 46:10 is the verse you refer to. It means to sit still and think about what is said. It does not incompass yoga or advanced meditation techniques.

"Be stil and know that I am God". This means to be fatihful and wait on His work for you. Be patient, don't worry, don't be anxious. He is always at work for your blessings and when it comes, you will have no doubt that it is His hand that delivered you.
