Here is the recipe
French toast is an easy yet tasty breakfast. It's also great for using up bread that's on the verge of becoming just a little too old. Makes 5 or 6 slices.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
6 slices bread
1 tbsp. (or more, as needed) butter
maple syrup, jam, or powdered sugar (for topping)
Steps:
1. Put the oven on to Warm.
2. Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl or small baking pan.
3. Dip bread into egg mixture and coat both sides.
4. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add bread in batches and cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Add more butter as needed.
5. Keep the cooked slices warm in the oven until all the toast is ready.
6. Serve the toast warm with syrup, jam, or powdered sugar.
Tips:
Older bread is actually better for French toast, as it absorbs the egg better without falling apart.

Hey,
You need to use a good bread. A thick, dense bread works best. Blend 3 to 4 eggs with one half cup of milk or half and half. Then add a tea spoon of vanilla extract. A little more vanilla if you like the taste. Instead of using grease to cook the toast, use a non-stick spray or a little butter. Heat your skillet on medium. French toast tastes better when it is cooked slowly. Drench the bread in the batter and place it on your pre-heated skillet. Add the non-stick spray or butter just before you put the bread on the skillet. When the side down turns golden brown, flip it. Be sure to cook both sides evenly....Enjoy!

mix a reaspoon of cinamon, a few drops of vanilla essence, some buttermilk-about a pint or so, and 4 eggs.
dip your bread into it- it is better to use bread that is thick cut and not really fresh, the drier it is the more it will absorb which is what u want.
using fruit bread works well. or brioche is nice too.
melt some butter in a pan on a medium heat and fry your toast until golden on both sides.
you can use any other spices you want to your egg mix, if you find the cinammon too strong then dont put so much in.
enjoy

An easy way is to just beat a couple of eggs in a bowl with a little salt and pepper, then soak bread in it (both sides). Put a frying pan on medium heat with just enough butter or margarine (or cooking spray) to ensure it doesn't stick. Then just fry it until it is golden brown on each side (a pre-warmed pan preferably) - takes only a couple of minutes..... there are probably gourmet recipes, but this is a tried and true easy one that's always good!

one egg, milk so there enough for the amount of toast you want to make, (about a cup or so), cinnamon, vanilla. whisk that all together.
Spray a skillet, or throw some butter in it, turn it on high so it gets hot, and then down to just about medium.
wet both sides of some bread in the mixture, cook both sides until golden brown.
Sprinkle with powderd sugar.
Takes about 10 minutes to fry a loaf.

Dredge your bread in a mixture of egg and milk. Use a little butter instead of grease. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.
