Okay, I went and read the book today about south beach. there are just a few things i have questions about. Any answers would be greatly appretiated! SO, basically what I am to eat is as much protien and veggies as i wish.. just as long as they are on the acceptable food list? Is salsa permitted? Butter? Onions? I don't keep track of any carbs or anything else??

My son has a theory on why football is so popular. The same thing that critics complain about with the run a play wait 30 seconds run a play wait 30 seconds is what makes it seem that much better. His theory is the reason that football is so beloved and popular is the time between plays allows for an artificial suspense to be created that makes the game seem even more exciting, like if you know the next play is 3rd and 5 and if your team gets the yards or makes the stop the drive continues/stops or if your team gets a stop here its a huge swing they dont get the TD or if we get the TD the momentum is back on our side kind of thing. So for people that like football the 30 seconds between plays give time for different scenarios to have an artificial suspense created for the viewer, its like when you go to a haunted house or scary movie knowing that the scary object is coming up and getting your adrenaline rushing makes it more exciting and fun and its the same in football.

I'm thinking of buying a 2-unit building, using one unit as my primary residence. My question has a few parts.

1) I'm planning on moving out of my townhouse and renting it out full-time. I can easily get $1500/month for that. How will that income be taxed? And how will that affect my taxes at the end of the year? Will I still get the tax break for the mortgage interest that the renter pays?

2) I'll be moving into the 2-unit building, using one of the units as my primary residence. I can get $1500/month for the other unit. How will that income be taxed? And will I still get the tax break for the mortgage interest that the renter and I pay towards this second mortgage?

I'm still maxing out my 401k each year, to take advantage of that tax break and help plan for my future. So that'll help out each year.

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Okay, here's the thing: this guy is like my father's age, and he's actually a friend of my father's. I see him at like weddings and formal occasions like that, and every time I see this guy it creeps me out to no extent. he's always just staring at me...always talking to my parents about what i'm doing in college etc etc..once (at a wedding) i went to get my purse from a table and he grabbed my hand..which totally freaked me out...he was grinning the whole time..this guy is married okay...and then yesterday i saw him at a gathering and he came over to me when my parents weren't there and put his hand on my back and was just talking to me...i dont want to say anything to my parents about him because its embarressing...its not like im extremely pretty or anything so why is this guy going after me of all people? and what should i do? help!
