Your question is a contradiction in terminology.....There are no "Christians who are really atheists" either you believe in God and are a Christian or you don't and you are an atheist.

If someone is atheist, they are not Christian.. but, better to be a 'fooled' Christian in heaven, which is where I'M going to be, than be a foolish atheist in hell..

Social pressure.

In many communities, publicly declaring yourself to be an atheist is like announcing that you are Communist.

i want to make my parents upset with me.

i gave my heart away to jesus when i was 3 and truly believe i was way to young to make that decision. i just wish i could have chosen to make that decision when i was at least 7. preferably 12 years old.

my mom said i had to go to church when i was living under her roof "as for me and my house, we will serve the lord"
this made me very upset, and i told her so. i went on to say, over and over through my adolecence that forcing me into something i didnt want to do was not going to make me want to do it anymore when i got older.

i ran away from home when i was 19. i married when i was 20, i have only seen my parents 2 times in the last 6 years. i'm 25 next month, and my opinions on church and religion have not changed. i want no part in the modern church. i see nothing wrong with keeping the sabath holy by watching cartoon network on my couch, laughing at billy on the grim adventures of billy and mandy shoot milk out his nose.

i thought by now it might change, and i might feel different about going to church, but i suppose i've grown up to be a very spitefull person, and i would be making my mother way to happy by going to church.

now i feel like i have to be a part of something, i've given my life to something, that i dont even know if i wanted. my mother didnt care about my wants, or my future as a grown adult, she only wanted what was best for her, and her appearence as a christian in her community. what if i didnt want to be a good little girl? what if i wanted my own life? its too late now. my mother would only be happy if i went to her church her whole life, and lived right next door to her, her whole life...

you tell a child enough times to do something they dont want to do, they'll grow up to defy you, anyway they can.

call me imature, call me selfish, call me whatever you want. but i'm doing what i want in life, and i'm happy just the way i am. i dont understand what could possibly be wrong with that.

"god is dead and no one cares, if there is a hell then i'll see you there"
