Something personal. Price is not the issue, thought is. Give her something that shows that you have been thinking of her even though u couldnt be with her. An engraved braclet maybe?

A photo album with pictures of you and her, so even when she is far away she can still see you. If you dont have that many pictures - get a blank one and tell her its for you two to fill up over the years to come! Now thats a romantic notion.

Her favorite flowers are great too.
Actually, how's this... Get flowers sent to her ever day for a two days prior to your arrival and on her birthday show up with the final set.

If you have a lot of pictures of you and her, you should make a blanket out of them. Not sure how it's done but they usually take your pics, scan them, and they go onto a blanket. That way she'll remember you everynight and know your there. Oh yah, also show up with roses!

Why don't you make her up some gift certificates of you're own you know like -
Good for one free back rub..
Good for one night out on the town..
Good for one candle light bubble bath...
And you can make some other good ones up if you know what i mean , and then you take her shopping when you get there that way she can pick out what she really wants...Good Luck
