In fact iam living in a totally different culture , where the way you approach one is quite difficult to me , i mean there is a technique that some of my native friends can just simply do it . They tells me its not that difficult to chat with one . i have tried that many times like to be nice and smiling (iam nice in real) ,but still all those techniques doesn't work ,as well as there is another factor that iconsider it as abig barrier ,which is the fluent language . despite having too many things to say but occasionally , the language might obstacle me expressing all that or might say something misunderstood .and i think its effect the way to hold the conversation , which i think that should be easy for a native . so she might get boared waiting for what iam trying to express . I dont know whether these sort of things could be easy to overcome as i never involved in relationship with girl here but i wish (iam Living in UK) . what do u think girls about that?

me and her works in the same office ,she's an architect and i'm a 3d artist,we've been working for together for a year,in the last two months i started to have feelings for her,feelings that i've never had before,after a while i started to make her know what i'm feeling and then it turned out that she feels the same way which made me so glad that we share the same feeling.
we discussed the situation,and guess what,her mother is 5 years older than her father,and she told that her parents won't have a problem with this and that she have the final decission.
maybe i'm young,but I'm sure of my feelings and we talk a lot about future,we both can live a good life, the problem stays with my father,i don't even know how to tell him,mom is not a big issue because she can understand but my father is to hard to convence,some of you will think that this is a childish feelings but it's not,we both understand eachother and we have so much in common,could some one tell me what to do ?

I had a spyware.key.key on my computer. I took it to Best Buy to have it removed. They removed the spyware but now my computer takes forever to pull up programs or close screens. And it (the cpu) is always making the noise like it's processing something. It was working fine before I took it there even with the spyware on it. Now it's slow as crap and it has a 3000+ AMD Athlon processor and tons of memory and space. I took it back to them and it ran fast on their system when they plugged it into to their monitor. Then I get it back home and it's still slow. It worked fine before so I know it's not a slow computer. Of course they won't say they did anything to it - they want me to pay them more money to now fix this problem that they created. They are telling me to upgrade the ram or something that makes it faster. Why? It was working fine. I can't stand them.

Can anyone tell me how I can figure out what is making it run so slow? Is there a program.

ok I have a boy friend and he is sweet and cut and I really like him but my friends say I am spending to much time with them and not enough with them but I only see himm before and after sckool cuzz I am not aloud to have a boyfriend (my mom does not mind my dad does) so I just hang wit him in skool or wait until my dad goes somewhere to call him any way I have classes with the friends who say this and when i hang out with HIM they hangout with me and I talk to them in class So I know I am not being a bad friend but how do I get them off my back

I've heard of acoustic weapons and sonic blasters which are sold to law enforcement, and reach levels of up to 145db. I don't think these other posts about ultrasonic weapons refer to this.

I have looked all over the search engines and can find no information at all apart from a couple of far fetched theories. Where is some accurate infomation about this. What device or generic category of device are these people referring? What is it made from? Is it popular? Is it illegal? Is it dangerous?.... Is it illegal to talk about if it is illegal?.... Could the police bust someone using one of these for noise pollution? :-)

Can anyone please provide me with a link where this is answered properly? Is there a wiki on this?

Any tips or advice would be really good, as I would hate to find myself if the position of yahoo member kamysadvice who made the previous post.

On CNN today one story concerned growth hormone for kids that are short, $200,000 so your child who still is growing might be a little taller in 4th grade when he isnt done growing. Didnt hitler try to do this with the perfect race, why are we changing our children, yes some children dont reach 6 ft but isnt it better to have diversity than one set height, whats next, eye color or skin color, when are they going to start messing with the unborn child while female is pregnant, is that next changing your child before he or she is even born, this is not your decision to make, yes lets find the cure for diseases that are deadly and leave childrens natural growth alone

This is a question regarding ethics and morals. That is why I did not post this in the pet section. Nor is this a financial question.

In a world where many people don't have enough money to afford adequate health care or even needed operations, can I justify spending money to keep my cat alive and healthy? If you say yes, is there a point monetarily where you can no longer justify the expense?

I love my cat. He is a good and faithful friend. However, these days, vet bills are considerable. Non-pet people may not realize this but gone are the days where spending $60 to $100 a year on a pet was a lot of money. That's the cost of one vet appointment. These days veterinary medicine has progressed to the point where they can do chemotherapy on a pet. It's expensive. But expense is not the question. I can justify spending a certain amount on my pet. But I wonder if it's ethically or morally "right" to "heal" my cat (no matter the cost) when humans go without needed medical attention
