I have long wavy black hair down to my shoulder blades. Please note, I don't care about looking 'classy' or 'sophisticated'. I just want to know what will make my date think I look Hot!

You should wear it arranged on the date. Taking it down will then be a signal to him that you are interested in continuing the delightful evening in a more "informal" manner from that point on. Consider your hair-play as a cue to his performance. Clear cues are greatly appreciated by amateur actors.

If your hair is shiny as well as black and wavy, then definitely wear it down! All the guys I know, find long hair sexy, as long as it's got that glossy look and doesn't overwhelm the face. Perhaps on a later date, you could wear it up, because some guys fantasise about pulling out the pins and letting it all fall loose!! But if it's a new date, then I always say that if you've got it, flaunt it!

Possible reasons why you would put your hair up:
If you have nice eyes, to have your date focus on them more.
If you have nice cheek bones, to show it off.
You have a bad hair day/bad haircut, putting your hair up hides it.
Possible reasons why you would put your hair down:
You have big ears, so u can hide it.
You really have a nice haircut/nice hairday.
Other than that, it really doesnt matter. Trust me, your hairdo is the last thing us guys notice.
But if you really want from a guy's point of view.. I'd probably say leave it down. Mostly because of the small things you do with your hair when it's down. Like when a girl plays with her hair, or when she has to bend down or look down then she flips her hair to the back. Or when you comb your hair, towards the side so we can see your neck. That's sexy..

Personally, I think he will be flattered if you ask his opinion.
Probably the best option is to wear it up in with enough strands down framing your face (sexy and romantic) BUT when things are more intimate, you undo it and drop it down - very hot.
Being a girl, I dont know what thats all about but although wearing ones hair down isnt neccessarily hot, letting down a glamorous updo into a tossled wavy flow of hair is hot hot.

Actually just be yourself, wear it the way you usually do if you know it's a classy place ofcourse you want to look your best so wear your hair that suits you that way you will feel comfortable as you may worry to much on your hair instead of the person whom with you are going out with. Good luck.

HI...i think it's really nice you wanna be sexy for your man.. If he's hot for you he's gonna like the way you look no matter what way you wear it. I would say wear it up showing your shoulders & neck in the restaurant & when you guys get back to your or his place afterwards let it down... Hope your date goes well. good luck : )

Wear it up too show off your face , cheeks and so that it doesn't hide your eyes.
Later after the restaurant if you like him take it down. I always find it sexy when a woman takes her hair down and looks me in the eyes at the same time, especially if I'm just getting to know her. Might close the deal !!!!

Restraunts are crowded with people,so that means not only your date should get attracted with the way you put you hair,but the crowd too,so when your date looks around and see's that people are looking at his date,he'll be feeling proud for having you,and that makes a guy hold on to you more,Leave your haird dow in a pony tail way if you were brunette or blonde,that looks sexier,or either put one of those chinese pins that put your hair up,that makes it attractive,and spices up your date,good luck with the date girl,go for it,lol!

I like long hair - down......
after seeing long hair I don't have my mind about me for 3 or 4 seconds tho...
there are those that say I never had a mind to begin with.
I don't believe them tho..
If you don't know what your date likes... ...then why don't you wear your hair how you like it?
