STD's are very real and the reality too often is much worse than the fear.
Too many people are sleeping around and all of them are in great danger of contracting an STD. Don't underestimate what an STD can do to you! You can lose your life! Is it worth it?
Kissing a baby is the very least of your worries!

The fear is real. When you have sex with someone, you don't know with whom they sleep last and visa verse. You have to be careful because incubation period for some STDs varies including Aids. So if you have no signs of being sick and have sex with another person, you will pass that along to the other, and the other to someone else.
As far as kissing a little kid there should not be a problem unless you insert your tongue into little kids month, because kissing with tongue involved can give Mononucleosis. So I certainly hope you are not doing that. You don't sound like a person that does that but I mentioned that to let you understand that STDs are here and yes, you should worry about them in order to stay healthy and alive.

There is a wide spread epidemic in the US for STD's. The last I read STD's in general are up about 30%. Compared to 5 years ago. Yes the fear is real, but you can take precautions. And get educated on STD's in general. If more people had the facts, and used safe sex, and drug use precautions the numbers would go down.

I hope you are not going around kissing small kids because they are the only ones disease free. Seems that's what's happening in Africa - diseased men are having sex with younger and younger girls because they are disease free as compared to their wives and other older women. So is some ways your fears are reality.

STD will remain in a fantasy world for you until you either get something or a friend does. I know a girl who got the herp instead of going out to the car and getting a condom. Imagine how stupid she feels everyday because she didn't need to get infected. Imagine being a part of a genital warts outbreak at college. You and about 200 other students - imagine the cross germs. STDs are not pretty and are very real.

Keep a condom on the pecker at all times - they are a reality - and it's completely sucky to get one.

No, doofus, you won't get an STD (sexually transmitted disease) from kissing a small kid. You get it from having sex.

The fear related to STD's is very real. That's why it's a good idea to keep it in your pants until you have a serious, monogamous realtionship (like marriage).

STD's are epidemic, where have you been? 70-80% of sexually active women are infected with HPV..........80% of people who are infected with Herpes are NOT aware that they are. STD's are widespread, and spreading fast; due to ineducation or miseducation. I have answered, on this site alone, this question at least a hundred times: "Are oral herpes and genital herpes the same virus, or different?" (They ARE the same)

It's stunning how dumb and misinformed people are, especially teens, about STD's. I think, "Don't they have sex education in school anymore?????"

clamydia is an epidemic among the teens to twenties age group, the reason being there are no symptoms...it is a reality not a fear. However you can only get it thru unprotected sex.
