I received the form for the electoral register this week and noticed that it could be supplied in various languages if required. The question is if you can’t be bothered to learn English why should you be given the right to vote?

No players anywhere in sports lore can feel more "validated" than these two. Both at the end of "highlight reel" careers accomplished the ultimate dream of their respective sport Both struggling and desperately looking for the elusive dream before their fading flames snuffed out In spite of all the parallels, I feel Gary Payton is more "justified" than any other. I felt Gary Payton's grief coming so close in L.A . I saw Gary Payton's doubt when his stats dropped and his age went up. I could see Gary Payton on the brink of defeat before mustering up the courage to give it one more try. Gary Payton's story is a great one in sports. It shows that determination and focus pays off no matter where you are. No taking anything away from Jerome Bettis but Gary Payton was just a stronger "gloom and light" story to me.

Every news channel in India are owned by either political parties or by industrialists with vested interests. At the viewers end, what one gets is the telecast with twisted facts, mudslinging & neglecting the main issues.

Many channels consider themselves as national channels, just by covering the northern India and forgetting other regions. When the floods were across Andhra Pradesh a few months ago, the news channels were focusing about a politcian's son, who was arrested on charges of possessing narcotics.

Is the criminal more important to news channels than the innocent people who were left in high lurch during those floods?

Wear a Boca shirt around River Plate fans in Argentina, and I wouldn't be surprised if they ripped u limb from limb

In Glasgow, wearing Rangers in a Celtic stronghold would probably not go down well ..... as would a Newcastle shirt in Sunderland

But what is the biggest rivalry in British footie do u think??

I would say Celtic-Rangers myself

A customer bought a Sprint S620 card. When it is inserted into the PCMCIA slot of his Dell Inspirion 6000 with Win XP, the computer immediately freezes up and requires a hard reboot. I have replaced the entire system board (including PCMCIA slot) and problem persists. User has tried this same card in another Dell Inspirion 6000 and it works OK. User brought card back to Sprint and they replaced it. Same problem. User reinstalled Windows XP, but same problem persists. Dell is claiming this is a software or non-Dell hardware issue. Sprint is claiming this is a Dell issue. Neither party is offering anymore help. The user is past his 30 day refund period and has never been able to use this card successfully. What must he do to solve this problem?

An Italian, a German and an Australian soccer fan were arrested in an small

Arabian state when they were caught peeing on a religious building after an

all night drinking binge.

The trio have to face up to the local sultan and are dished out the typical

punishment for religious desecration - 20 lashes of the whip to the back.

But the Sultan was a big football fan so he kindly granted them two wishes

each - but they were not allowed to change the number of lashes or the type

of punishment.

The Italian says "Well we are the World Champions so I go first. I want the

pleasure of a beer and a pillow." The Sultan grants his wishes.

With a wide grin the Italian drinks his beer and binds the pillow to his

naked back. But after 10 lashes the pillow falls apart and he has to

painfully endure the remaining 10 lashes which leave deep welt marks on his

back.

The German saw all this and spends a few minutes thinking before smiling. "I

would like to have two pillows for my back". The Sultan thinks about the

uniqueness of the wishes but decides to grant it given he has used up his

two wishes in one go. However after 15 lashes of the whip both pillows have

fallen apart and the German has to painfully endure the remaining 5 lashes

which leave deep welt marks on his back.

The Australian is grinning from ear to ear and mutters something under his

breath about a penalty. "Ok my first wish is to double the number of

lashes to 40." There is stunned silence in the hall. The Italian, German and

Sultan are a little surprised at the first wish but then remember the

strong fighting performance the Aussies put up during the World Cup in

Germany 2006. The Italian and German look at each other and nod in

admiration - obviously this Aussie wants to show how tough he is.

The Sultan asks the Aussie for his second wish.

"Tie the Italian to my back" he replies.

In Scotland this week it has all been going crazy between the two sets of Christians over one of the Glasgow footballers geniflecting at a football game: he has been banned from doing it because it is offensive to protestants....given the amount of general hatred between Christians and muslims as well as Gnostics Vs Agnostics how do people have time to hate amongst their own religons too?!
