I doubt it unless you have a "Service Level Agreement" with them that indicates a maximum fix time. If you have no such agreement, then all you can do is complain and try for some form of compensation

Go back and look at your contract with them. If you have a Service Level Agreement that dictates a response time then the available recourse should be listed as well.
Given that an attorney will run you many thousands of dollars and your estimation of damages will be based upon your average weekly income from that source, is it worth it?
You might want to go for a small claims action. No attorney involved. Read your contract carefully though so you don't waste your time; they usually have NO guarantees as to quality of service.

I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm guessing it will probably cost you more in legal fees than the worth of that one week service. Why don't you ask (nay, demand) that you be given a percentage off of your next bill for the hassle they put you through?

The laws in this country were drawn by lawyers. You can sue anyone for anything...the lawyers will make money. You, however, will likely be very discouraged with the results and your lawyer will be able to finance more private school tuitions, vacations, etc.

yes because the act done by the isp has caused damage in terms of profitability, expected onto ur business, it will be in the form of damages, thus u must be indemnified... in running a business, time wasted is profit loss, show computations of ur expected loss of earnings, get a lawyer, file a suit for damages for torts, and thenlet the court decide...

You would need to demonstrate that your business has suffered.
Also have a good look through your broadband contract (with your lawyer) because I'm sure they will have written in a clause to absolve them of exactly this position.

You should be able to claim for loss of earnings and business, or even try to get a free months service out of them

just chill! its over now innit! not alot you can do to go back and fix the connection! just get on with life and youll make everything alot easier for everyone! remember, they didnt do it by accident! look at it from their point of view. If youd knocked off a buisnesses connection by accident (which im sure youd regret!) wouldnt you be appologetic..... and if he sued you, wouldnt you be shocked and annoyed as it was just an accident!
