I actually do like someone knew but this person who has left is still in my mind, and it hurts so much, it isn't so bad anymore, but it still hurts, even though I like someone new. I don't know how to get over him. I have listened to sad songs, but I do like someone and we get on really well even though we are just friends, but I don't know if I have just made myself like him to try and forget about the previous one who has left. I didn't even get to say goodbye.

It seems to me most religions claim to uphold the highest moral/ethical standards and preach peace, but throughout history wars and conflicts arise from religion that continues till this day. What do you think?

I asked an earlier question on why we are so shallow as to view our opinions as being the only opinions allowed. I had several responses. Some of which I found to be very rude but we live in a country that allows freedom of speech so they are welcome to say what they wish. The only point that I was trying to make is that although I support this war, and generally agree with my government that my opinion is not the only opinion allowed and whether I agree with anyone elses opinion on the matter or not that they still have the right to say what they feel without people jumping in and telling them that they are wrong to feel how they do. My belief is that this war is a must and I am proud of my country for standing up for what's right and I will not get into a discussion with anyone on why I feel this way or whether I am wrong or right and I do not expect anyone to explain why they feel the way that they do.

Through my reading in Islamic history I found that prophet Muhammed had 11 wives + 2 female slaves (Maria & Reyhana). This is in addition to at leasst 18 other women whom prophet Muhammed proposed for marriage, engaged or was about to marry.

Many muslims claim that the two reasons for prophet Muhammed to have such huge number of wives were:
1- To give shelter for widows.
2- For political reasons.

I am still confused because for the second reason, many of the ex-hudbands of those wives were killed by prophet Muhammed himself during his wars, while for the second reason he would achieve his political goals without having to marry all those wives (most of them were under 20 while he was about 60).

Does anyone know the real reasons for this?

wouldn't it be rather awkward to be flanked alongside your bf's brothers' wives and sisters' husbands. wouldn't crying louder than the in-laws and immediate relatives be considered a bit too much? despite society's modernity, "openess" and "acceptance" on certain matters of sexuality, shouldn't your partner's family's grief be considered a matter left to themselves?
