Erm...what do you mean exactly? You mean you know the name, but you don't have the ID of the individual? Well, thats pretty much impossible really, because theres no directory kind of service provided by Hotmail.

If you have the information required it is possible.for instance i needed my sons yahoo email address as he suddenly died.However being very close i knew his normal line of passwording ,and of course i knew his date of birth.but first you have to know their id.-For example joanne@hotmail etc --if you dont have even a lead on that then you are gone.Surely you must have a lead.There is no site that can give you privy to this info -not even the fbi.-even they need a starting point.

If you want to know if the user name is available, try to register with it. If it lets you then you are OK, if someone else has it, the program will tell you.
