There are people who believe that not only believe that their opinion is better or more accurate than yours; they also believe that they are capable of making better decisions for you than are.I support this war. We owed this to the Iraqi people. In 1991, Iraqi citizens were waiting for the US and allies to come into Iraq after Sadam. We failed them then. We will not fail them now.Luckily, GWB has learned from his father's mistakes.
Oops I guess I explained....oh well!

What do you mean defensive? Im not defensive.
Dont make the mistake of thinking that supporting the war is just a matter of opinion. It is not the same kind of judgement as whether the blue dress looks better than the red dress. I am sure it can be demonstrated starting from agreed premises that the war is either right or wrong.
Such a process would certainly show that the war was wrong.
You are proud of your country for invading another country you say.
Pride is simply an emotion and therfore has no bearing in deciding a matter of right or wrong.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, yes, however not everyone has to feel the same as you! Other peoples opinions are so strong that they feel whoever goes against them are the scum of the earth.
You are bound to get posters who will put you down and make you feel bad because of your beliefs or opinions, but at the end of the day that is their right and their views are of your opinion, not you as a person.
You touched on a very sensitive issue regarding war. There are many people who feel it un-necessary and wrong and there are those who have lost loved ones because of war.
Your statement above is very defensive and you have felt the need to justify your opinion. If you were completely sure of your views and stood by them 100% in the first place there should be no need to justify it!
If you don't like the fact that others will disagree with you or condemn your opinions, then maybe you shouldn't post controversial issues.

Probably in this instance people are defensive because they have a personal attachment to the war. Maybe it's a family member they want to see come home safely. Maybe it's the fact that they are seeing their social security go up in a puff of a Patriot Missle explosion. Maybe it's the fact that they would rather see money spent on their children's education instead of feeding money to the war machine. Or maybe they felt betrayed by the government that is supposed to look after them. Or maybe they are upset because we are spending a lot of money trying to fix their country that we destroyed while a lot of families here in the States are still homeless from Katrina and other domestic problems that need taking care of.
It could be any number of reasons. But people attacked you because they feel this war is doing them some sort of injustice on one level or another.

Three things people get so puffed on are war, sex, and friendships.
But just boils down mainly to being decieved and mislead.
But especially on the www so many people get there shorts in a bind and let there ill temper, bad manners overwhelm them they have to lash out.lol

c war is a necessary evil.....but it becomes essential if someone1 is really being a threat 2 ur nation. Afghanistan attack can b justified in the wake of 9/11 but Iraq war cannot b justified as such. However, its my opinion n cannot b forced upon u.
n wid gr8 power comes gr8 responsibility. if u have the muscles then u dont necessarily flaunt it atleast not on the weaker ones n dats not being offensive.

Is this about war? Well my opinion is that people should forget about sending their country lads to valleys of death. I think that's wrong, unless those people are willing to risk it. It's quite sad really, because in war, many innocent people are killed from the opposing country, innocent lives that may be from the other race, but nonetheless, think the same as any other human and are utterly terrified about their fate. And majority are INNOCENT.
I don't think that you should be proud that your country is sending people to their deathbeds by fighting another country. What's the point of fighting anyway? Really immature.
But I guess it's just part of nature. People are made to argue with each other. That's partly how our brain works. Even animals fight. I just think that innocent people shouldn't be involved in it. I also think it is wrong to build a huge ordeal and decide to have a war. That is just madness.
Sorry for contradicting your statement in any way, but you asked for our opinions. Thanks!!!

People dont like to be wrong so they get defenceive when they are challanged.People are afraid of getting their feelings hurt.I dont like war however some things we just dont have a choice about . If someone smacks you across the face you have to smack them back, twice as hard. Those bastards that killed our people on 9-11 deserve to die and so do the people that are involed with them.We cant back down. Its a sad fact but we have to defend our way of life or we leave ourselves wide open.
