It would be really hard to trade Iverson, he has 3 years left on his contract and is making $16.5 million. There is NO way Iverson can go to Atlanta, simply because of financial matters.

Al Harrington's contract expired, so the Hawks would need to re-sign him first if they wanted to trade him. Harrington made close to $7 million last year, however; the Hawks probably won't resign him for anything over $9 million SHOULD they choose to try a sign and trade. Let's assume that the Hawks do resign Harrinton for $10 million, that means that theres still about $6 million that needs to be made up for in salary differences between Harrington and Iverson. Josh Smith is making aobut $1.5 million; Josh Childress is making $2.7 million...

which means that even i you wanted to trade Harrington, Smith and Childress for just Iverson; it wouldnt work. They would need to throw in another player making around $1 million - like John Edwards. 4 players for 1 player? The Hawks will not do that.

A more realistic trade would be Baron Davis of the Golden State Warriors + another player from Golden State going to Philly for Iverson. Davis has expressed that he wants out of Golden State; he's making $13 million (also with 3 years left on his contract). For a trade like that to work; it would probably have to be Davis and Troy Murphy for Iverson, Kevin Ollie, and someone else. Who knows. The Sixers are probably better off trying to move Chris Webber's 19 million dollar contract. Doubtful anything will happen though.

Yes I do, I think before the season starts he will be in an Atlanta Hawks uniform. There is rumor he is heading to Atlanta for Al Harrington, and a young player such as Josh Smith or Josh Childress. The Hawks number 5 pick could also be part of this deal if Philly swapped their number 13- where it would make more sense for the Hawks to draft Shelden Williams..the only risk for the Hawks is would he still be there at 13. But that is the latest news, the Hawks want Iverson to 1. sell tickets 2. take some weight off joe johnson in the backcourt 3. become contenders- The 76ers want to rebuild...don't be surprised if this goes down

no the 76ers need him.If they dont have ai then who will score 50 or 60 points every game. Not chris webber! Allen Iverson is the only hope for the 6ers.Thats the only reason thhe team even made the playoffs last year. they would have lost in the playoffs last year in 04 05 against the pistons even if ai did get 50 points.

No. I like the 76ers but they haven't made it to the Finals in awhile. Allen Iverson is the star of the team...I don't think they will trade him but I would like to see him win a championship!!

I think AI should get traded to the Orlando Magic. I think him and dwight howard would make a good dynamic duo. Get a good point guard to make the plays abnd get sum pressure of AI plus a center that can play sum good D that is more d then offense and u got urself a good playoff team. Dwight Howard is the future, AI is the present. Grant hill is the pass. I think these three guys can make sumthign happen.

i like AI's game, but his game is so hard to place in a formula. i can't see him playing anywhere else with anyone else. he is just on an island by himself. they had opportunities earlier to build a team around him, but mgnt let that pass on by. he and L. Hughes with Snow coming off the bench was a great backcourt to start a team. Stack was there. Kenny Thomas, Tim Thomas, mgnt sucks, and Iverson is stuck with them. And his off the court mayhem does not help his situation.

iverson is great but past his prime, his assist numbers have gone up lately but the team's been losing so he should stop passing and shoot the ball. i don't think they'll give him up. he is the sixers.

The only way for the sixers to win is to get rid of AI
