Do I have to put a stamp on it? Do I have to put it in an envelope of some sort? I could just go ask the lady at the Post Office but hey you want the 10 points, right?

I don't want to do TOURIST things. I want to go somewhere cool like the Knitting Factory or a super cool bar that plays Punk Rock music or a club w/ many rooms/atmospheres w/ LOUD booming Electric SOUNDS. Something in the village would be cool, but not a gay bar. I want to stay at a hotel in NYC for the weekend and go to bars, clubs, lounges, maybe a museum and some Central Park events if there is something cool going on. Anyone have any good ideas. New Yorkers, please help. I know you locals know of lots of good things to do. I'm not a tourist. I have an old TIME OUT NYC, but it's not helping. I live just across the water, but I want this trip to be special since it's my BF's birthday. Also any decent and affordable ($160 or less) hotel rooms would be appreciated even if it's in Brooklyn.

I was searching on Travelocity on hotels to nyc and it is soooo expensive per night. I dont even know what area I should stay in. I then saw New Jersey hotels that are way cheaper. I will be renting a car so I was wondering if all this is worth the extra savings. I will be landing in la guardia airport, commute to new jersey to the hotel and then drive to nyc. I was wondering if new jersey (newark) is that far from nyc and if there were any suggestions for me. Thank you! Its my very first Nyc trip!

I'm taking my first NYC trip this July and there are many sites and things I want to explore. I plan on the possiblity of going to a broadway show, Yankees game, out to dinner, shopping, sight seeing and etc. But, I also don't want to spend all of my money to do what I want. How much including cab fare do you think I would need to take for a 4 day trip?

They cleaned the ceiling in Grand Central Station several years ago, but left a spot uncleaned just to show how dirty it was before. I've seen it and I'm just wondering if anybody else has.

Also...was I told the wrong information...is it up there for some other reason?

I am coming from the Binghamton area and will be in New York City for the first time. My stay will be short as I am on a budget. I can only spend $80 to $110 per night. Is this possible?
