It will be pretty much the same. 19 years isn't much.
Think about it, hotels were pretty much the same in 1987, as they are now. In fact, some hotels take much pride in the fact that they are still "traditional".

Well by then there would certainly be more hotels built, and being built. I am in the hotel industry, and nothing really changed except their policies and what the brands expect of the owners who wants to be in a certain chain. There is always going to be people on business and the ones that take vacations. I don't think that the hotel industry ever suffers, even the lower class folks wants to go on vacation, and of course the much cheaper chains are there, so are the expensives ones that the more wealthier folks go for. The industry is growing, business are opening up every where. Take for instance the state I live in, there are actually bringing in another big firm Samsung, just to name one. So the hotels are being built at a very quick pace and all of them are making the income. They are realizing that they need more hotels to house the people who are coming in by the hundreds to work part time or even live. So the hotel industry is striving and it always will, maybe some parts of the year are slower than other times, but trust me they all make what they put out..

It's not an industry in danger. Some previous comments, said it will "collapse" and "explode". Hotels arn't suffering much ... I mean travel may be down because of gas prices, and airline ticket prices but I think the hotel industry will always be sucessful. People are always going to stay in hotels on vacations and business trips/road trips. I doubt it will ever suffer much. It's not like the airline industry, who's future isn't looking good. Almost every airline is on the verge of bankruptcy.
People need vacations. They need change from there everyday surroundings. And when on vacation ... where else to stay but a hotel?

Well in my town they have like 8 zillion hotels and they keep building them so the hotels will probably go out of business leaving only a few left and the hotels will crowd the town but when they close the town will be left with a lot of big empty buildings.

I have to ask why you are asking this question? What do you know about hotels and what do you think is going to happen? Is something suppose to happen? Great, now I am worried! LOL! I have worked for hotels for almost 20 years now and have seen changes but nothing drastic and I doubt much will change by then either...
