How do you get there from Glasgow city center? How much does it cost? Did you enjoy the Experience? Is it worth taking my Bf too for his bday he is 24?

Looking to spend around £100 on my bf for his bday. Not on Cd's, or the usual football stuff, it has to be something quite unique or a day trip or something fun to do in the glasgow area. He enjoys doing romantic things like boat trips etc and he got me a helicopter trip for my bday so i have to get him something that doesn't look cheap. I also dnt wanna do the clieche stuff like meals etc any ideas would be much appreciated

thanks

I'm planning a railway journey through Scotland, and would like to visit Skye from Mallaig, by ferry to Armadale. Then getting off the island via Kyleakin a few days after. Does anyone know ho to get from Armadale to Portree and Kyleakin though, depending on public transport? Bicycle rent even?

Basically what I want to know is, Would you buy a cd full of high res quality pictures of the best of Scotlands scenery ?

I am from Texas, and am contemplating Glasgow in January. Any advice? Will the weather be terrible? Snowy? Rainy? Just cold?

Have a friend visiting for a couple of days who wants to see the sites of Glasgow. As I live here I have a few ideas but am looking for more fun things to do rather than the usual, pub, theatre, restaurants. Any suggestions welcome!
