The Burrell Collection in Pollock. St Enoch's Square, and George Square. I visit Glasgow a few times a year and always have a great time. Have fun.

Jonglers comedy club is great
George Square (with a Greggs lol)
Ashton Lane (west end) is great for some dinner or a night out. There are no neds around as there are in city centre! The cinema on Ashton Lane, The Grosvenor, is well worth going to. The seats are big comfy leather ones or you can hire a big comfy leather sofa on the back row. And you can drink in it - there is a bar.
The X-scape snowboarding centre at Braehead.

Take one of those tourist bus trips around the city then ask your friend what he/she wants to do. I've lived in a number of cities in the U.S. and found out I knew more about what to do because I took the tourist bus.
When in Glasgow, I enjoyed the Tenement House.
