I will be moving to the UK next year and am taking a trip in a few months to check the city out. Just wondering if anyone can give me suggestions on a nice, yet not overly expensive, hotel that has a good location(i.e. near the tube, etc.)?

I am thinking about moving to the UK (Britain or Scotland), and I need information for the things I should know before hand, such as the type of medical care, the economy, the current majority of political affliament (sorry for sp), and also things about passport and immigration information. It also wouldn't hurt to know what kind of jobs the UK is looking for in their immigrants. Website links for such information listed above would be very helpful. Thanks in advance! ~Anali~

Sometimes when someone achieves something really great in Britain, the Queen awards them with an MBE. An MBE stands for Member of the British Empire. Well I've lived in Britian all my life so am I not a member of the British Empire???????? Or am I just a hologram?????
