Yes, per mile CO2 is lower than petrol, but it is sky high in particulates that don't warm the planet but just kill the people living there.

Choose LPG (Autogas). Cheap and cleaner. I would not go back.

The only benefit it gives is that it enables more MPG and can thus be deemed more efficient. However, the diesel engines are more expensive to build and the manufactures need to consume more energy to make them.

Yes, however the mileage per gallon or the kilometers per litre, make it a better choice than petrol, and it is improving.

However as somone said, LPG is much better, and soooo cheap.

diesel is worse for the envirnment in that it causes more damage however it is good as it burns more effeicnetly than petrol

diesel is seen to be more economically friendly than petrol as you can do more to the mile with diesel than with petrol.

not sure... but i would have to guess yes, since i rarely see cars that run on gasoline belching black smoke like the diesels do.
