It's as hip as NY or LA for stuff to do and it's open 24/7/365. Start at Picadilly Square, pick a direction and start walking. You will not be bored. Excellent public transportation, poor parking, something for everyone. The saying goes, "the man who is tired of London is tired of life."

there is no shortage of bars, when I was in london last year I even took an organized tour that went from bar to bar.
