I want to drive from RI to Seattle, WA, and then back home again. I'd be driving my '65 Ford Falcon, which gets maybe 20mpg. Is it cheaper to fly or drive?

I like to plan ahead, but anyways i have two choices of adventuring next summer. Im 15 right now by the way and im going to be 16 by next summer. My first choice is going on a trip with one of the science teachers and about 10 classmates on a two-week trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. THe itinerary includes spending a week with native tribsement and flying out to the galapagos. This trip costs about $3000 for two weeks. My other choice was to go mountainneering with a close friend to the Grand Tetons. It will probably include driving out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, spending a day there, hiring a guide that provides all the gear, going on a 4-day climb of the Grand Teton (13,300 ft altitude). These mountains are of course not Everest but still snow-capped and very technical and should be awesome to climb. This will prolly end up being a week long thing for the price of about $2000-3000, depending on wat guide i get and how i get out there to Wyoming. Which should i do?

I went on a group trip recently and now there's some disagreement about the settling of money owed. During the trip people ended up paying for other people b/c of a lack of cash on hand. Well, several weeks after the trip's end bills between people still haven't been settled. How can I make sure bills get settled on the next trip?

My friend and I wanted to take a road trip in Jan or Feburary.

And we want to know about the weather then.. and I can't seem to find anything. Is it completely useless to go this time.. because of snow?

Also, how long should it take to take Route 66 from the beginning to end? (Santa Monica to Chicago)

I don't always make the best of my holidays and I really need a break this winter. 3 weeks off in the sun. As a single, straight male what i am looking for is a place where it is easy to meet others. Sun and something to keep me occupied.

So sex, sun, history, fishing, night life.......

Done New Zealand, Australia, Canary Islands.

Ideas please!

thanks
