I would like to visit a lot of countries, especially western europe. The Eurailpass seems pretty good, but I know I will not be taking the train every day. (For example, from England and France to Italy is pretty far) I'm also considering the flexi pass, but would it be cheaper if I just fly? Anyone has any experience doing the same thing? thanks!!

Having just seen "Hostel", a group of us are going backpacking to Slovakia - will we get abducted and tortured, before being mercilessly and gruesomely murdered?
Or will we have a great time, and just get hopelessly drunk on cheap, high strength lager.
I suspect the latter, but just wondered if anyone else had been and had any recommendations for entertainment....
