I am considering applying for work on a Cruise ship as either Singer or even bar waitress (singer as my first choice, it just seems more difficult for a job in this sector). I would be grateful for some feedback from anyone who has experienced this before

Just looking for some info to help us pack. Will it be generally warm but windy, or cool, or hot? I know weather can change frequently, but thought someone might have some experience to help us prepare for the trip. Thanks.

I am trying to find a cruise leaving from San Francisco, CA for this December but I have had a hard time finding it. Can you help me? Also what destination is good for cruises leaving from CA? Is Baja good? or is there anything else better?
I am also confused about shore excursions fee. Does that mean that you have to pay everytime you get unboarded from the ship? What's that for?
One last question is, which is the best room that's worth the price? oceanview or balcony?

THANK's a lot for the answers, appreciate it :)

I know she is going to read this, and me and her still have plenty of time, but I shall ask anyway.

I am trying to find a nice cruise for couples...

..so far so good right?.....but..

Are there any that are alcohol free? both of us do not drink and we don't want to spend extra money on something we arent going to use.

:-)
Thanks!

I get married next year, August 16, 2008, and I want to book a cruise for our honeymoon. The only ones I have found are to the Caribbean and Bermuda. I don't mind, but I'd like to go on a cruise that is a bit longer than 6 nights. Can anyone give me a good website to go on? Thanks.

According to a Wikipedia article, yes. However, it says nothing about it on the RC website. Anyone who has traveled on this ship care to comment? I mean, if you can surf, golf, box, and ice skate on board, I don't see why there couldn't be a strip club... ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Class )

My g/f and I are planning a cruise to Mexico (3-5 days) from Los Angelas. I'm still debating on which cruise line to choose. This is our 1st cruise and we just want to experience it! I've heard Carnival is a more "party" atmoshere. We are both into the club scene but would like to be on a cruise where we can experience everything from the swimming pools to the dining. Also does anybody know what the weather will be like at this time of the year in Mexico?

Is it normal for a cruise ship to stop over for 3 days (let's say in a 14 day cruise)?

And while at this, how many stopovers would it be normal for a cruise of this ammount of time to take?

This is our 1st cruise and we're going on the 8-day Mexican Riviera with NCL Star. If anybody has ever been on this cruise, I will appreciate any suggestions or information you could give us. Also, I am worried about getting sea sick; normally I don't have any problems with motion sickness, but just in case; is there anything I can do to prevent it?

1. Did you buy your cruise through a travel agent? Why or why not? Have you ever had a travel agent before?

2. In your opinion, who are the three most important cruise line staff members you came in contact with during your cruise? Why did you choose those three?

3. Did you ever entertain the thought of being a travel agent? Or working on a cruise ship (and in what capacity)? Why or why not?

I'm hearing horror stories about cruise ships overun by thousands of kids running wild, crowding the pools, and using the elevators like an amusement park rides. .

I'm booking mt first cruise for my Grandmother & her co-workers; and I know she doesnt want to see 1000 kids everywhere.

But she's young at heart --so is there a "20 and up" Cruise Ship line?
