In two weeks, we are cruising to Mexico-Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. Trying to find cheap but fun activities in port- like beach, snorkeling or horse-back-riding. But the ship charges way too much for our family of 6 to enjoy these activities in their excursion book. Any suggestions?

What type of bathing suit? (1 piece or 2) What to wear during the day? What to wear in the evening? For formal night what type of dress? Short or Long? Straps or strapless? Can it be velvet? Thanks

I'm looking for a cruise that has hassle-free booking and a clean, sophisticated ship. I've never been on one, do they really tell you specific times to eat/swim etc.? I want to send my parents on a cruise in the Caribbean and am willing to pay around $600 a piece - I would like to hear your experiences!

I have been on a number of cruises from a variety of ports during all times of the year. I have been on over 10 cruises and on 6 different cruiseline companies. I love cruising.

But as a person of color, I wonder why there are so few ethnic minorities on cruise-ships. I feel out of place and isolated sometimes. America is supose to be a United Nations of people, full of people from all over the world. But I do not see much of that when I cruise. Nearly everyone is white.

I do not believe it is economic because we go on cheap cruises on older boats at greatly reduced cost. We go out of Florida which is dominated by ethnic minorities.

I need to compare a cell to a cruise ship for school...the mitochondria (or powerhouse of the cell) is the engine...the flagella of a cell is also used for movement, but I don't know what to compare it to! Is there any secondary source of energy or movement in a cruise ship??

I suffer very badly with motion sickness and use travel tablets and wristbands for planes, boats, trains etc. I haven't managed very well on cross-channel ferries, even with tablets, but I'd like to try a med cruise. I'm wondering what a large cruise ship would be like. Is it more stable than a ferry? Has anyone with motion sickness gone on a cruise and felt okay?

I am going on a 9 day cruise next spring for our honeymoon, the cruise is not until the end of May. We have been a little tight on money lately, just wondering when do most people book their cruises? and still get a decent room? 9mos before? 6 mos? 3 mos? This is our first cruise so we are not sure. We have no credit cards so our $900 deposit needs to be cash or check/ (so no throwing on the cc like the rest of the world). We definitely want to get a balcony room or even a mini suite, can anyone let me know what is too late too book or how quickly they sell out? After the holidays we will be fine with money, wasn't sure if Jan or Feb was too late for a May Cruise?

Suffer from myclonic jerking (spontaneous and not specifically diagnosed to source or illness), fibromyalgia and arthritis, all somewhat debilitating, but get along well now on walker and have with a cane on previous cruise this year. Thought might rent a special chair/walker with brakes, etc. Expect might be healed enough not to need any aids, but just in case, wonder what I might do. Have equilibrium problems from medications. Plan to let Cruise Line know of these limitations. Any suggestions to make the trip more comfortable, safer, easier on me. Similar experiences? Plan flying to place of embarkation; so this might complicate things, too. What do you think? Cruise paid for before broke hip; insurance may not allow much return on booking. Thanks.

I am planning on going on a 3 night cruise to the Bahamas November 23-26 which is Thanksgiving weekend.
It goes to two islands in the Bahamas.
The price is $324 for the smallest cabin.
It's through Royal Caribbean.
I have only been on one cruise when I was 15, which was 7 years ago, and I am planning on going with my boyfriend, my best friend, her sister, and their boyfriends (there will be 6 of us.)
I am the only one who has been on a cruise, and the one I went on was a 10 day one through Holland America with my family but since it was so long ago, I can't really remember much...
Anyone cruise with Royal Caribbean before?
The ship's name is Sovereign of the Seas.
Is it worth the money?

I'm a class officer, and a cruise is being considered for our senior trip. We almost scratched out a cruise when we heard we needed a passport, but I just spoke to Carnival representative, and they said all we would need is a photo ID and/or birth certificate. She said that passport requirement doesn't go in to effect until June. Can anyone confirm this? Internet sources would be really helpful! They would help convince my other officers it's the truth.

I'm going on the Carnival Pride to the Mexican Riveria at the end of Sept., should I book the shore excursions through the cruise line or should I book it independently with the tour company?

Does anyone know any trustworthy tour companies I should book it with? I'm porting at Puerto Vallarta, Matzanlan, and Cabo San Lucas.

Also does anyone know where the ports are located at these cities?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks.

Would you still go on a boat if you were to get sea sick every time you went on a cruise or fishing?

For boat lovers who's boats don't love them back!

I would love to go on another cruise although I get sea sick because when I got drunk I felt less sick!
