I am going on my honeymoon soon and we are wanting to go on a nice cruise, something we will never forget!

We have $1000, thats it...when u go on a cruise, how much are the foods and drinks and activities to do there?? Are they high in price? Someone told me that if you book a cruise, thats the price and all the meals ad drinks are free...is that even true??

Where is the best place to take a cruise to, like with good sights and everything? We want something ROMANTIC! =]

I want to go to Hawaii next year but I'm not sure if I want to take a cruise there or fly and stay in a hotel. If I go, I want to stay for about a week or two. Which would be the most reasonably priced? A two week cruise? Or plane+hotel? Also, I know some cruises do military discounts, do hotels do the same?

Please answer based on experience.

(I'm not sure how much the hotels are in Hawaii, plus I know I'd have to count in food, and small things like travel fares)

Clipper Adventurer was idling, stopped or nearly so, close to Bass Rock, no doubt letting passengers view. Our yacht came round the Rock, aiming to pass well ahead. Suddenly and for no apparent reason, Clipper put her engines ahead and aimed across our bow. Very doubtful at best that she would have crossed safely ahead of us: we had to alter course to pass round her stern. As sailing vessel we shouldn't have had to. Were you aboard? How did manoeuvre look to you?

We were on a Cruise to the Caribbean in March 2007. One of our ports was St. Martin and we had signed up for a tour of a so called Plantation. As it turned out, we saw a run down piece of property. The plants were overgrown or half dead. The plantation hose was not open to the public etc. When we got back on board ship I made a complaint to the people at the tour desk. I really didn't get a response at that time. I went back the next day and complained again and recommended that they take that tour of their itinerary. I was supposed to hear from someone after we got home but to this date I have heard nothing. I have been on a number of cruises with RCL and like the ships but, feel that I have been neglected regarding this complaint. Please investigate and contact me ASAP. Bill Burnidge (928) 855-1669

Do you pay your tips when you are booking or have them added automatically to your seapass when you're on the cruise? Once you've paid the automatic tips do you need to tip during the cruise at all? (apart from room service)

I am thinking about cruising on Carnival in a couple of months by myself.

I have never done this before but I am graduating in a couple of weeks and I want to do something to celebrate my accomplishments.

So what do you all think about this idea?

There is a possibility that our cruise will be rerouted to Ochos Rios in December. Due to the closing of Costa Maya. If we go there we definitely want to visit the Dunns River Falls. Should we book one of the excursions or will it be easy to just go there?

About how far is it from the port and would it be better to take a cab?

okay so I've decided that since this is my senior year, I want to set up a cruise trip with a few of my friends (maybe 10?). My question is whenever they set you off for a few days in say...Jamaica..can you come back to the ship to sleep at the end of the day or do you have to go out on your own and get a hotel/motel? Also, does anyone know some cool places to go out of the U.S. around...$500 give or take? Please don't say mexico.

If you pulled out with a plenty of time left you got your deposit back. Well we did and we haven't seen any of the money yet. My husband has been trying to contact them via e-mail and phone but they just brush him off. I told him if anything report them to the BBB but he just is so tired of dealing with it. How do I take over this matter. If it was just a few bucks I would let it go but it's 400 dollars and we need to pay bills.

I'm talking about like.. a Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean or something.. and there's a dangerous situation like a bunch of escaped convicts or a zombie uprising.. what kinds of weapons are kept on board the ship? Are there guns? If so, where on the ship would they be kept? I'm writing a story and want to be accurate.

I recently took a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines. They are different in that they indicate you don't have to "worry" about tipping because they take care of it for you automatically. Yes, they definitely put $10 per person per day onto your bill. And yes, you do tip servers in bars and restaurants as you would on other ships.

So why the "automatic tipping fee" if you're leaving tips for your service people (who deserved it) all along during the cruise?

My suspicion is that only a fraction of the tips taken are actually distributed to the staff. The corporation holds back a significant portion and chalks it up to "administrative fees".

It is frustrating to me because when I asked servers about the "pooled tips" they had no idea what amount they were getting.

Anyone know how much really goes to the staff?

How much does it cost to go on a typical windjammer bearfoot cruise. You know, the small cruise ships that look like sailboats.
