You will arrive at Honolulu International airport. It requires a taxi ride to get to the port area. The port is at Piers 10-11, adjacent to Aloha Tower Marketplace ( http://www.alohatower.com/ ); located 5.4 miles from the Honolulu International Airport.. Most of the hotels will be in or near Waikiki Beach. But there are some with lower prices in the area between the Waikiki and the port.

The following is one which I found on line in that vicinity, Waikiki Gateway Hotel, for just $90 a night.. I have not stayed there but read the manager's comments from the web site:

Comment from the hotel's management Posted: 5-Sep-07

"We are pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of completing our room renovations. We have changed out the furniture, bedding, carpets, bathtubs, etc. If you stayed with us before, you know that we are centrally located, our rooms are much larger than most traditional hotel rooms and that we have many kitchenette units and the beautifully remodeled penthouse suites. Further, we have ongoing preventive maintenance programs for our air-conditioners so you should never experience any problems with them. If at any time, there is something reasonable we can do to make your stay a better one, we strongly recommend communicating this to our friendly front-desk staff or management team for evaluation and resolution. We strive to offer personalized service and the best overall value to our valued guests. Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with other traveler’s and for helping us to constantly improve our operation. We value your comments.

I suggest that you make reservations soon. Even if you do not stay near the port, it is a short taxi ride from most hotels to the port. Another option is to stay at an airport hotel and then take a taxi to the port on cruise day. You can get a free shuttle from the airport and then go by taxi to the port. Honolulu has good bus service so if you need or want to go somewhere just take the bus, it even goes to Pearl harbor.
