In November my family and I are going on a cruise, and 2 of the ports of call I have never visited. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on fun things to do there, or what the area is like, etc. The two ports of call are Grand Turk ( Bahamas? ) and Puerto Rico. Thanks!

My wife and I are wanting to take a cruise to the bahamas and mexico. We weren't sure if it was better to go through a travel agent or the actual cruise line. We found cheap tickets on expedia and other similar sites, but have never been on a cruise. Can someone please give me their experiences?

If so, must you dress in formal clothes with a female in a ball gown and the man in a suit? What type of food is served during this meal?

I was on line earlier looking at booking a package for our honeymoon. We wanted to spend more money on a nice room at sea and stay at one of the all-star resorts at the park. They would only let you chose one of the 3 higer price hotels to stay at the park. Is it better AND cheaper to book through a local travel agent in our town? We just wanted a cheaper room at WDW park since we are never going to be there in the room that much. Thanks

My big sister has been my rock my entire life. She is always looking out for me. We are four years apart, she'll do anything for me. Two years ago, my husband and I fell on hard times, she took me in while my husband went to stay with his brother's. And next year she will be turning 50 years old. I want to make her feel as special as she is always making me.

I will award the "Best Answer" title to the one who can explain the cruise industry to me. I'd like to focus on reuniting my sister with her oldest and best friends. And I need things spelled out for me.

A fall cruise on a really nice yacht for twenty to forty of her closests friends would really be nice. The destination is unclear because I'm not really sure where she'd like to go. Because after thirty some years of marriage and raising one amazing son, I really don't think she has any real idea what she wants.

Any middle age wives and mothers who can relate, tell me where you'd go to celebrate your 50th.

I'm 21 years old and enjoy traveling, I'm thinking about working for Carnival but I'm not sure what I would want to do. What are some job titles? I have some college experience, great with people, and very optimistic, and I love public speaking. (I'm not a big fan on helping kids though) I'm currently a sales manager but am looking for a change. I want to have fun. i understand working for the cruise lines has its ups and downs.
Question: Where do i go to find jobs, what do you think i'd be good at with what i labeled here, how much do they pay you, is there a bank/or place i can deposit checks, how was ur experience, is it worth it? do u get any days off, can you hang out with guests and staff? is it a confusing job, where can i find more detailed info about working for a cruise line, do they train you for these positions?, do they require a lot of experience? what is the atmosphere like. I apologize for all the questions I just want to make sure its a good fit for me to get into

We are driving to Miami and getting married then leaving for our honeymoon that day. I was wanting to know if we could both take 2 carry ons instead of checking them in? If so what are the size limits? I think the biggest we have is a 26". We just dont want to have to go through the check in and check outs. Its the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

from Royal Carribean International. You have to set up an appointment, and go to a seminar to get your free tickets. On the phone they say all you have to pay for is taxes and port fees. Is anyone familiar with this? A friend of mine got one and is very excited. My husband wants to go but I'm a skeptic, I say nothing is free and if so, why the seminar?

My mother is taking me on a cruise for my 18th birthday... some of her friends are coming along but no one my age will be... I was so excited until I came across www.cruisebruise.com which made me realize the threat of real harm on a ship is actually not as small as i previously thought. So I've been here trying to think of how to make myself safe and read the websites suggestions: http://www.cruisebruise.com/cruise_ship_safety_tips.html

It is the one which advised parents to not let their teen out of their sight ever as well as never walk around the ship alone... I was quite looking forward to meeting other teens at the teen hangout club so as to leave my parents to it... after a while being the only teen around will get tiring no?

I'm planning a cruise with someone who has a certificate on HAL that needs to be used by the 11th of November.

She gave me 2 cruise dates to choose from - 3rd or the 10th. I originally told her the 10th because airfare was cheaper. I totally forgot that I have $700 worth of tickets to see the Police! Anyway, the 10th was sold out so we decided on the 3rd.

I had to transfer money to her as she was paying with the certificate (I still am getting off cheaper than regular ropcie or single supplement). While that transfer was going on, the 3rd sold out but the 10th released some cabins.

So should I just go for the 10th and try and sell my concert tickets? Or should I wait and see if the other cruise opens up so I don't have to potentially "eat" the price of the concert tix? I don't want to screw us out of both cruises.

Has anyone been on the windstar cruise ships. I am interested in their mediterranean cruises and also the ones in central america.

It cools like a cool small ship. how is it? is it worth it? I notice a cruise here is more expensive.than average.
would you reccommend? the food sounds good based on their descriptions. tell me about the good the bad the ugly.
