YES you can take bottled water, I do it all of the time. I don't usually take a case, but I take a six pack of bottled water (12 -16 oz) AND a six pack of soft drinks (16 oz). I always carry that on board in my carry on bag and it goes right on the scanner belt with everything else.
But you do not have to worry about drinking tap water on ship. Although it is safe and not bad tasting all of the cruise ships will sell bottled water on the ship. In many cases there will be a bottle or two of water in your cabin or the mini-refrigerator in your cabin and if you use it they will replenish it each day. In addition, when you get to each cruise port, especially in the Bahamas and Caribbean, they will offer cold bottled water for about $2.00 as you are leaving the ship. AND, you can always buy bottled water for about the same price as at home when you get off the ship. If you go on ship sponsored tours they will have either free bottled water or bottled water for sale on the tour bus. While the cruise lines do not allow you to bring alcoholic beverages back on ship for your cabin, you can bring bottled water and soft drinks. I do that all the time also.

Yes. Went on Royal Carib out of Los Angeles 3 weeks ago, took case of water and softdrinks. May vary by port or destination. Call Royal Carib MAIN OFFICES for best advise. (small bottles of water in cabins @ about $2/bottle)

Yes you can bring bottled water, I have done it before without any problem. If you transport it in your checked baggage just make sure you wrap it well so it doesn't get punctured. And you're correct bottled water is not included and days at port they will charge for it so it's best to have your own.

you cant bring an liquids on a plane in your carry-on case but if your putting it "thru" then you can pack a case or two of water, although i have no idea when you will need it, when i went on a cruise they always had food places (free ones) where you could pop in grab some soda or water (like at MkyD's) and if you mean tap water as in the water from your room, tastes fine nothing wrong with it and like i mentioned you can always find water ANYWHERE....c'mon its water. :D gl hope you have fun!

I have cruised 14 times including several on RCCL. We always carry a case of water on with us, with absolutely no problem. Have a great time.

Call the cruise line, I do not see why there would be a problem. Crazy crap is happening with all the 9/11 regualtions though. You cannot take water on a plane anymore.
