My Gilfriend and I are looking at taking a cruise sometime in the near future. We were wondering what months offer the best savings for vacationers, and which cruise lines are most passenger friendly.

The cruise lines have discounts at various times during the year, not just certain months. Most of these discounts cruises are shown right on their web site. So if you are shopping for a discount or deal, just go to the cruise line web sites and browse. I know that Royal Caribbean advertises its deals or specials as "HOT DEALS". So go to their site and click on the link that is right on their home page: "See All Hot Deals". The dates for their "deals" will be shown in red and will cover a variety of cruises. Carnival Cruise line has a link on its home page for "SPECIALS", so click on it for their deals.
Norwegian cruise line also has a home page link for specials:

There area a lot of new cruise ships which has caused priced to drop on many lines. You just have to shop around to find the specials. There are some cruises that are cheaper at certain times of the season for that cruise. For example, the Alaska cruise season is May through September but cruises are a little cheaper in May and Sept than in June, July and August. Its the same with cruises to the Baltic countries (Russia, Germany, Norway, Finland, Sweden). If you go in May, its cheaper than June, July and August.

The best thing to do is (1) shop for the specials, and (2) compare prices on the cruise lines.

I have cruised on Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and found that they are all passenger friendly. Its their business to provide you whatever you want while on the cruise and they do a good job of it.

Actually the best time is Nov/Dec (if you return by mid Dec)
People are too busy thinking about XMAS.
There are awesome deals going on right now for January also.
I just sold a client a 7 night carnival Cruise today for January on a beautiful ship for 593.00 each outside cabin.

Carribean during Hurricane season Aug/Sept is by far the cheapest cruise. It is a gamble, but so is going on a cruise with your girlfriend.
