Via ship, which route is shorter: Tarsus, Turkey to Los Angeles, USA via Suez Canal or via Panama Canal?

That is a very hard question friend, I just looked at it on a map, and it is very difficult to tell by eyeballing it isn't it? Depends on the Navigation route you choose as well, and how far out to sea you want to go to make sure that the boat is safe and such. I would say that the Panama Canal route crossing the Atlantic looks a little more direct, but I'm really not sure about the specifics here..
