I have been on five Carnival cruise and have plans to go on two more within the next year. In all cases the food servers and room stewards were excellent. These people generally come from third world countries and the pay they receive on these ships is considerably more than they can earn in their home countries so they really try to do the job as best as they can and will do their best to assist you in any way possible. So don't worry about service on these ships and feel free to ask any crew member if you have a question or need something, if they can't help you they will find someone who can. So don't worry just go and have a great time.

I have been on Carnival 7 times. I really like it. They are very friendly and helpful for the most part. I would say it will be a great cruise, just remember there are alot of people on a cruise ship and it does sometimes take a little bit to get through lines and things.

I have been on three Carnival cruises. One three night cruise and two one week cruises. I currently have one more Carnival cruise booked for next year (it is a five night cruise). I have also been on four other cruises with three other lines (and I have three more cruises booked on two other lines).

I think the service on Carnival is very good. It was better on the one week cruises than on the three night cruise. Also, I think the food on Carnival is better than the free food on the other lines I have been on (food in the extra cost restaurants, on any line, has always been top notch).

The bottom line is, Carnival would not have become the biggest cruise line if it did not put together a good product.

I have been on several Carnival cruises. I have had great service. If you are comparing Carnival to other cruise lines, you may find a "higher class" of service on the other lines. I have cruised on Celebrity as well. It was great as we were traveling with our elderly parents. It was a much more upscale trip. We enjoy Carnival with the family. Kind of like comparing a Holiday Inn Holidome with the Hilton. So, if you want a more casual trip - go Carnival!!!

We have cruised on Disney, Royal Caribbean and Carnival several times.

I have always found the service personnel on Carnival to be very helpful and courteous.

If you need something, just ask. If that person cannot help you, they are very good at locating the person that can help you.

Disney, of course are the masters of excellent customer service.

Royal Caribbean has been our worst experience. In fact, that is the only cruise I have ever not tipped a service person.

I just came back from a Mediterrean cruise with Carnival's Freedom. Lots of major dissatisfaction.
Yes, while the ship is new, it has major flaws. Whenever the ship was docking or leaving port, the entire ship would vibrate, so badly in fact, that food, dishes, cutlery etc. would vibrate right off the table, crash and break on the floor. The staff were not rude, but were not friendly at all. John, the entertainment director, was great. The ship's decoration is gawdy and loud. The food was not the best. Steaks were over cooked, salads wilted, fish had no taste. The best meat was the pork chop. The cities we visited were fabulous... but yes, the cruise is very expensive when you include drinks and tours.

I have been on Carnival's Imagination, Inspiration and Valor. The service on all three was amazingly good. Never had one concern. I would suggest you take the longest cruise, 7 days or longer, that you can afford. You get a better mix of passengers that way. Also, check on the star rating of each ship. The better rating a crew member gets on their evaluations the more they move them up to the better (newer) ships with more stars. I use vacationstogo.com to find out star ratings.

I went on Imagination Carnival. Service was great! Our waiter was great! The overall experience was tons of fun. I would recommend to anyone. Ship is big enough, you don't feel the waves. Plenty to do on the ship with live entertainment outside. Very clean as well. Good luck and have fun!

I've been on a few Carnival cruises and the service was always excellent. The cabin stewards were always very attentive to keeping your room in order and the dining room staff were wonderful...I have no complaints at all with them.
