A friend of mine wishes to work in Malaysia as a web designer. He has been offered a salary of 3500RM (malysian ringgits).
He has about 5 years expereince in this field.

1. Is the salary offered, appropriate with his experience?
2. Can he expect to save some money if he earns 3500RM/month? If yes, how much?
3. What would be his savings, if he travels with his spouse?

I would appreciate if some expert staying/working in Malaysia would comment on this.

I was in Borneo a couple of months ago, and i tried two different types of fruit, but i can;t remember what they were called!
One was in a wierd shell, that looked prickly, but the 'prickles' were soft and bendy, you pulled open the shell and there was a fruit, kind of like a lychee, inside with a stone in the middle?
The other one was really wierd! It was like a stick with loads of little fruits on it, and they looked like mini lychees, but there was loads of them and you had to kind of pull them off!
I know my descriptions are a bit vague, sorry! But any info will help, thanks :-)

i am nobody... but why do we still have monarchy system in malaysia? Daddy, mummy and grandma told me its a waste of money feeding some agung/sultan. Oh no.. i love our agong they are always so well dressed and their wives are equally pretty. if we were to abolish our monarchy system someone has to change my favourite national anthem too. i will never let this happen. agree guys/gals? daulat tuanku.!

with each other in this travel malaysia forum? i think for those 'full timers' here, i think we should have some agreement to disagree among each other before we 'hantam'/'gasak' each other or we will end up with personal hard feeling and hatred

btw, I agree to disagree

Todays papers mentioned death penalty for apostasy subscribed under Islam was not suitable for the moment.

I didnt know that the muslim religion was so violent...sorry for my remarks but i think death is such a terrible move. And it says that its under the Islam law. How come then this is negotiable? People are being forced to accept something that they are not happy with. But whats in their heart, that the religious departments cant see, only God knows. So even if they die as a muslim, but in their heart they believe another religion they are still free.
