there are many budget chalets at Cherating, their rates range from RM60 to RM150. Normally if room with air-cond would costs RM100 n above !
i don't have much info regarding budgeted chalets except two : [1] Rhana Pippin, address: lot 1006, Cherating Beach, 26080 Kuantan, Pahang. Tel: 09-5819207. [2] Tanjung Inn Tel: 09-5819081. Hope it help.
By the way, if you chose to go there during off season [ not during public/school holidays n week-end ], then you shouldn't have any problem at all getting a room at those chalets. n don't forget to visit the Cherating's turtle sanctuary/hatchery located at the same entrance as the ClubMeb[in fact its just beside CM at the far end of the road], views n touches those lovely baby turtles !
[but unfortunately at this moment, it may not be the right times to visit Cherating as its the year-end monsoon season]

Cheap hotels at the rate of $60-100.00 is really cheap, only the prostitues go to these places, and you can see frogs in your toilets...go for a better place
